My favorite joke may be Gabrielle's flat "what." There are a lot of double entendre jokes, starting from the jump with Aphrodite. Xena whistles the show's theme, and Gabby sings a song about herself to the tune of The Ballad of Jed Clampett, which is special to me, because I love The Beverly Hillbillies.

2024-10-20 16:23:38 +0000 UTC‘Fins, Femmes And Gems’ becomes so much gayer when you know that the original script had Gabrielle being obsessed with sexual positions rather than herself. And who does she experiment with and explore those sexual positions with? Xena. Obviously, they had to scrap that script. Too on the nose. I’m kind of happy about it though because… Nah. Good for femslash fanfiction. Not for TV.
