I opted to upload my weekly cover this week on Friday due to the holiday - hope ya don't mind!
Anyway this cover has been... a long time coming. I was never a huge DKC fan as a kid, having only rented it a few times and struggling to get very far due to the difficulty. That being said, Aquatic Ambiance is iconic. EVERYONE knows Aquatic Ambiance - and for good reason! David Wise assembled an interesting, emotional, somewhat ominous and relaxing track using limited capabilities of the hardware at the time, and it still stands on its own today...
It's kinda sorta basically a masterpiece. Every VGM dork like me knows it well.
