FYI for a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone to upgrade it to +10 you can advance Varre's questline at the Rose Church in Liurnia to get the Pureblood Knight's Medal. Using it you can run up through the temple and get one under a giant statue guarded by Albinaurics.
