In this arc, it's apparent that Ran once again comes to the conclusion that Shinichi and Conan are the same person, and after Conan is shot by a group of thugs in a cave, he decides to tell her the truth. However, with the help of Heiji and Haibara, he is able to convince Ran that Conan and Shinichi are not the same.
Haibara has created a prototype antitode for him, and he is now Shinichi! However, the antidote does not last long, and leads to heartbreaking results in the life of Shinichi and Ran.

2021-10-22 08:58:15 +0000 UTCJodie being at the festival or not is something that gets an answer later, I think it's better to let the show tell you, cause right now I don't remember if it's after episode 339 or not, I think it's shortly after, I suggest to keep it in mind and come back to it later ^^ You're spot on when it comes to Ran not trusting Yukiko back in that 2 hour special, during this arc the manga actually shows Conan recalling the conversation with his parents from that case, the anime doesn't show it, so it's pretty impressive that you noticed that. The anime also has a good bunch of cases out of order earlier on, which makes it kinda hard to notice Ran's behavior, for example the case that follows that 2 hour special in the manga is the one where her former sensei is the culprit and Ran solves it with Shinichi's help on the phone, which gives a total different meaning to that case, in the anime they placed that case before the 2 hour special.
