Small setback

Today my C drive died
Not a huge deal aside from the cost of getting a new one since despite i lost all my downloads and stuff i had on the desktop, Thankfully i have all my work on another drive that's permanently being synced with mega. and the stuff that was on the desktop was saved too since i have a 600+ Gbs blender backups folder in my D drive.

Only issue... I lost the squirting tutorial videos. so don't panic, i'll record it again in a few hours once i finish setting up everything. gotta install all the programs and plugins again

Hey dude, whatever you do dont format that drive. I dont know exaclty what happened to your computer, but all the info is still in there and recoverable if you are able to boot on secondary drive. Unless of course the drive itself is faulty which is usually not the case these days.

That sucks, best of luck! Thanks for the extra effort, we appreciate it

I would like to suggest my methods of dealing with this kind of things, I've learned that since I've experienced multiple system rests back when I built my first pc. Essentialy it's about move everything out of C drive, document, pictures, software and the lot. The system made folders can be relocated through the properties panel and I have dedicated folders for software installation on disks beside C. In this case even if smth happened and C drive got wiped, all I lose is some preferences and settings kind of stuff, everthing else will survive an reset or reinstall of the system since they are not on C drive. Another way is to divide your C drive into 2 sections, one is just big ebough for system, the other used for storage, but this had to be done in the drives management thing where you format and create drives. This way will save your stuff as long as the drive didn't die (which isn't that useful in your case, but to be fair, what are the chances that your C drive is going to fail again before any other system wide thing happen)
