Progress Update!
Added 2017-12-10 10:11:37 +0000 UTCToday saw the fixing of a mistake I had made. When working on this house, I opt to work on each room as its own model. This means work is done separately in separate files. The problem is that I had not taken into account size or proportions of each room.
So, today I fixed that! I took the 3 rooms that are done (The bedroom model, the gym, and a lounge room I'm just about finished with) and re-proportioned the models to fit the scale of the scene.
The rooms all have regular proportions that now match each other. Hooray!
Since enough rooms are done, I've begun to continue drawing out the floor plan for the, what I want to call, the house shell. Like I said, each room in this estate was modeled separately in separate files. The plan is for each room to be positioned correctly and then build the outer wall of the house (what one would see from the outside) around the rooms. I used this method when building the bedroom model- the actual room and the attached bathroom are 2 separate models that I combined with geometries to make it look like 1 giant entity.
So, progress is being made!
