Question for the future

What other genres would you be interested in seeing. I almost certainly won't start anything new for at least a year (cause I have enough ongoing stuff right now), but I have ideas for a bunch of different stuff kind of nudging me, that I want to explore. I'd also like to hear something I don't list that you're interested in.

Some I'm currently thinking about are (I have specific ideas about each of these already, but they're very nebulous at the moment):

Military Sci-Fi (Space ships & the like)

LitRPG

Urban Fantasy

Progression Fantasy

Post-Apocalyptic (not zombie)

Any others I should consider?

(For reference, right now we have Time Travel/Alt-History, Musical Coming of Age, Sports Do-Over, Low-Magic War/Political Fantasy, High Magic Classical Fantasy, Action Thriller, Realistic Super-Powers, and Magical School stories going and/or finished)

Comments

Would also like to read your take on an alternative timeline military series more along the lines of The Fighting Tomcats by ML Maki or The Naval Odyssey of James Brand by J. Eugene Porter

philip grossman

Post-Apocalyptic

John Tross

I'd like a litRPG story next :-)

Paul Anderson

I realy like all genres you wrote, but would like to read your take on litRPG or urban fantasy.

Peter Henning

No, not really. Baseball they can go to south america and japan, basketball they can go all over, but football, it's generally you're done if you don't get to the NFL (or college). There are some arena football leagues (most failed, but I think some exist) and none started before 2009 except 1, I think (so too late for Blake to get to go to).

Travis Starnes

Mate, I look forward to it. Travis, knock this on the head if it is out of order. Maybe someone here can answer this for me. If say a football player does not progress past high school or college is that the end of his football playing days? Is there a minor/amateur league in which he can play on for a few years? Our district of about 15,000 people has mens teams in all five main winter codes (rugby union, rugby league, field hockey, Australian football and soccer) with multiple grades in most and little to no remuneration. Thank you in advance.

Darryl Graney

For military sci-fi I was thinking of something else.

Travis Starnes

my current favorite kick is LitRPG but ultimately, I'll read any genre that is well done. yours always are.

James Wesselmann

The main twist is that he isn't an adult living in a younger body. So we still get the coming of age bit, since he's still a teenager with growing up to do, mixed with knowing stuff he shouldn't know about the future and having a second chance to fix problems.

Travis Starnes

I have been reading it and bought the pre release. It's kinda do over but seems vaguely so. Maybe that's twist. Am enjoying it

Whicked

I will always have 1 real world coming of age going (at the moment, I'm counting false start as that, even though there is that slight element of the do-over mixed in). Hopefully sports works as a background, although it's not going to be just sports, we're also going to eventually get some business stuff and a little entertainment mixed in eventually.

Travis Starnes

Something along the lines of Country Roads, not necessarily the music industry, I enjoyed the in-sites into the whole concept of the way it worked. Maybe law, law enforcement, armed forces, entertainment or best of all for me, continue Country Roads. Sci-fi works for me, but fantasy and rpg I can do without. All in all keep doing what you're doing and thank you.

Darryl Graney

Second Down. The series is False Start. Book 1 just finished today here on patron but it doesn't come out until the 22nd.

Travis Starnes

Actually I didn't, you are prolific, which I like, I hadn't picked that one up yet. Which one?

Whicked

Also, my problem is, I have too many ideas. It's why I have so many concurrent stories. I want to write them all.

Travis Starnes

You know I have a new take on Do-Over going right now. Book 1 just finished. (or do you mean another take, maybe I misread that)

Travis Starnes

I’d find the future Ky comes from interesting to explore. Would fit the Military Sci-fi genre.

Major Ass

I also would appreciate. Post-apocalyptic.

Chester Goetzinger

Ive recently gotten into litrpg (shaddoth who seems done), but anything sci-fi is going to get my attention. If you can figure out a new take on do-over, I always enjoy those. You are the author, do what YOU like. And as a side note I loved country roads

Whicked

I would vote for post-apocalyptic
