Skoloderms are medium-to-small sized harbivores of arid highlands and mountains that reproduce by laying leathery "egg purses" in crevices and burrows. They are specialist feeders on tubers, and indigenous succulent-and-lichen like "plants" found on high altitudes. Freed from the burden of carrying growing fetuses, their first heads have shrunk to an almost reptilian stature.
