0.05a Devlog #2

Hi everybody!

So, the poll I made earlier has ended and the results are in. After counting the votes, when considering Vote Power, this is how the results looked like:

1. Ayumi (19 points)
2. Emiko (12 points)
3. Maiya (10 points)
4. Side Characters (8 points)
5. Dev's Decision (0 points)

There's a few things I got away from this.

• First is that nobody trusts me LOL. 'Dev's Decision' with 0 votes, come on guys :´(
• I liked how it was somewhat of a close result. Emiko had the lead for a bit as well and Maiya made a comeback near the end, but Ayumi won after a final push. For me, it seems that there's a balanced interest in each of the girls and that's good to know. I wonder how much different this would've been if Haruka was one of the options though…
• And lastly, I was impressed by how many votes the Side Characters got, and I don't know what that means. Maybe the people that voted that option want me to develop the Academy gameplay, or they want to interact with a specific character, or wanted Haruka to be in there… Or they just want to bang Kiyomi… :shrug:

Enough rambling about the poll, though. Ayumi won, and that means she'll have a bigger focus on the upcoming update. I already am writing a couple of her events and I think it's going to be awesome. Really excited to show you all where her story goes ;)

I'm still deciding on the scope of how big I can make this update, so I'm outlining and defining what's going to be in it. My plan, aside from focusing on Ayumi, is to have some events for Maiya, so we can finally have some deeper interaction with her. And, some events with Emiko, because of her recent addition to Academy.

I've also been playing around with some of the management options and will try to incorporate them into the next update, and replace the 'placeholder' actions we have for now. And I'll try and fill in some gaps in the gameplay with smaller repeatable events to make the day feel more complete and interesting.

Anyway, that's it for now. I don't really have an expected release date, I'll be able to say it for certain once I get more work done.

On another note, this recent update has certainly attracted some attention to the game, which is awesome! I hope I can make something that will meet the expectations!
