Dev Update #78 Progress

Looks like therapy is at the library, wonder what that's all about?

I know, I know, I said I wasn't going to do the dev update until next week. But, I've got enough to share with you at this point, and if I do that now, then I can get back to work and have a few weeks before I have to do another one! Don't get me wrong I like talking to you guys and sharing things, but I do these when I have the downtime to do them, and I saw that opportunity now!

We're at, let's call it 2200 lines of code, 500 renders (I have a large scene written I still have to render so it'll probably be more like 600 something after that, might have something to do with Audrey and Paris talking) and 5 animations! Not all of those are sexy times either. So, some good progress for about three weeks worth of work!

Lets talk about animations for a second, shall we! They are now currently being done in Blender and I'm bringing them back to Daz to render. What does that mean? I HOPE they are better quality! Since it's so much easier to animate in Blender. I've also made the choice to do longer animations, but less camera and angles and possibly two positions per sexy times scene (I'm not guaranteeing they will all be two positions, but there was a story purpose for this one to have two). As I mentioned they are not all sexy times animations because I'm starting to do more animations outside of sex to make things feel more alive. I held off on this a lot through the game because of file size concerns, but at this point I just can't anymore. Some of the games I consider to have the best visuals are 10-17GB at this point. I'm not saying we'll get there with One Day at a Time S2, but I'm not going to let file size hold me back anymore creatively.

Which is to say the compressed version and android versions will be more compressed as the game goes on, and with the next game that will be the case too. But, since that's not a problem for other large games I don't see why it would be for us. I've always stated in the compressed versions description that you'll be sacrificing image quality, and there's just no way around that. It doesn't affect android as much, because it's a smaller screen and the images naturally down-sample very well on phones.

Alright, rant about that over, moving on! I am working my way towards let's say lunch time in Ch. 20 Pt. 2. There is a lot that happens in the morning so it's taking a lot of time to do. There will be a lot that happens in the afternoon as well. We have the date Lydia demanded (I was quite proud of myself when I though of that beat because it's soooo Lydia)! But, there are plenty of other things I won't spoil that need to happen as well. And, that's all before we even get on the Yacht for some wild, crazy and most certainly lewd fun and debauchery!

That is going to be it's own whole series of scenes, because it needs to be. In fact (and I know I've said this before and I was usually right) this will probably end up being the longest day in ODAAT history! But, it's for good reason. All the girls will be present on the Yacht apart from Brenda/Molly and Claire. I've never done that before. There's always been at least someone left out for whatever reason, but that's not gonna happen here. I've got some really cool ideas for games, prank stuff, and all kinds of outrageous shit you've come to expect from One Day at a Time! So, it's gonna take some time and hard work to get done, but it will be a lot of fun for me, and hopefully for you as well when you get to experience it!

The last few updates apart from the stuff with Mary's Mom haven't had a lot of hard hitting moments. I'm aware of this, but it's by design. Life is going to hit one of our characters directly in the face very soon. Could be this update could be next. Could be one of the girls, could be MC himself. However, only I know that information at the moment, and if I told you when or who it wouldn't be nearly as impactful.
