Just a feeler poll about a new game.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the poll. It was overwhelmingly in favor of going ahead with the two projects at some time in the future! I am however a little dejected at the comments claiming I'm going to forget what's going on in the other game, or not be able to focus on one thing or the other. Because, I set up events and do a considerable amount of outlining for the next Chapter while I'm creating the current one.

However, I absolutely love proving people wrong. In fact, that's probably the best way anyone can get me to do anything is by telling me I can't. So, we will go forward with the schedule below at some point in the future. Not sure when that will be, could be this summer, could be this fall, could be early next year. But, I want to reveal the concept render after this post and the overview for the new game. Enjoy!

Ok, let me make this clear, One Day at a Time will always be the priority and get the majority of my time until it is finished. However, we've still got a ways to go with it at this point, and I'd like to have a new IP (Game) established when it ends.

None of what I'm talking about will happen immediately. However, if I were to decide to start the new game. I would make it two updates of One Day at a Time then one update of the New Game. Let's give it a code name umm... Picasso (which has absolutely nothing to do with what I have in mind). Rinse and repeat, until One Day at a Time is finished. After that every update would be Picasso.

Again, this is all just me throwing sand into the wind at this point. Although, I do have a solid idea for a new game, and I think it will also be something that's not been done before, just like One Day at a Time. At least the way I'm going to do it, I've never seen it done before.

Looking forward to bringing you Ch. 14 in a few days! Cheers!

Comments

I appreciate you voting and your opinion, but I outline the events I know are going to happen in the next chapter. So how could I possibly forget? Also how are other developers able to do it. I can't just have nothing on the table once One Day at a Time is completed. Again I appreciate your comment. But it's kind of selling me a little short that I would just forget who the girls are and the events of the game. I could see this being a problem if I didn't outline or stop at natural stopping points where there was nothing I needed to remember that wasn't outlined.

Not to be selfish or anything, but I'd really rather you concentrate on 1 game at a time, cause when you have another game you're working on, by the time you get back to the first one, you pretty much forget where you left off completely, not really my cup of tea, but, your game, your decision, just giving my own personal opinion since you asked ;)

I love ODAAT, I can't eait to see what you come up with (story wise).

Won't really be extra though, because I'll be doing two updates of ODAAT and then one update of this, then back to One Day at a Time, and the cycle repeats. So, in essence other than setting it up (the GUI game images etc), there won't be any added time to my workload. I've already got the girls I'm using and the MC rigged, you've seen them in the Promo's I've been doing (well not the MC because no one ever really see's him in my games). I've got a concept image I'm rendering right now, should be done later tonight or tomorrow then I'll post it.

I think you should give it a try. 1. it will give you feedback on the new game and let you tweak things before you get too vested in it. 2. You will see how well you handle the extra workload.
