2022-01-14 08:35:30 +0000 UTCI have trouble focusing when it comes to reading, but despite that I went absolutely out of my way to acquire the light novel for Otorimonogatari in both English and Japanese. Out of all the arcs that are available in English, Otori is in my top 3, and I am very glad to be re-watching it with you

2022-01-13 14:47:26 +0000 UTCI'd almost forgotten about the new ED, I absolutely love this one both the song and visually, definitely one of my favourites in the whole series. So for one of the few times in all of Monogatari the narrator is not in the present with us but telling the story as a retrospective and therefore knows everything that their character would know about up to that point, the specific point being just after the intro ended where she started thinking back on it all. This is a pretty strong contender for my favourite arc in the whole series, quite a few things in it that weirdly personally resonate with me, and just some really really cool stuff, very excited for the next few weeks.
