Fusion360 Modeling the Smoke Stopper Box

I'm not sure whether I'll release this to the channel but Patrons can get a behind the scenes look at the process of modeling the smoke stopper box. It's my first 3D modeling project so go easy!

Cool

I love fusion 360 I just got my first 3d printer and am learning fusion 360 I also have a legacy cnc wood carving machine so works great on either

He's ALIVE! Glad you see you're better JB!

Nice work! Welcome to the dark side... fair warning: once you start 3d modeling, you start seeing all the objects around you as just a series of cad construction techniques. 😁

Very cool.

Lars is def the 360 man. Taught me bunches Glad to have you back JB

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work on the smoke stopper box, especially the hole for the bulbs! I've tinkered with Fusion360, but I found that using OpenSCAD made way more sense (for me), because it's just like scripting out code. It's also very parametric--which is really handy. It's all my friends fault, he got me into OpenSCAD too. His skills are way beyond mine, he's even designing and cutting his own quadctoper frames on his CNC machine. (Link: https://blog.patshead.com/2019/03/the-kestrel-hd-micro-quad-frame-version-1-dot-0.html) It'd be interesting to see a video about OpenSCAD and see what your thoughts are.

I already watched the channels version, but I wanna check out your Fusion 360 skills(I’m not that great at it) I’m really good at the printing and printer modifications. The end result came out really nice.
