PATRON FIRST LOOK: Fusion vs. RapidFire raw test footage

Jason, I had the same question. I am new here so I was wondering if they get moved someplace or if this is something unusual?

Ummm. Where did the vid go?

Every one so sure fatshark is not going to be able to keep up with DJI . I just got into all of this and have watched so many vids for info gathering. And Don't count Fatshark out is alll I'm saying I could have had either and I went with fatshark because there not going to just roll over and take the title...

It's much cheaper than $1k fwiw. You don't NEED their controller. You can get the "FPV Experience Combo" for $819 from most places, which is TWO Air Units & Cameras and the goggles. BangGood had this same combo for $665 recently which is what I got it for! If you only want ONE Air Unit/Camera, it's even cheaper.

to me it looks like rapidfire is a clear winner. im just going to keep rocking my laforge v4 for awhile i guess lol.

Is this even relevant when there is already DJI digital system available? I wonder what is the probability analog systems will survive... Comparing both of the images to the in-flight FPV footage from your DJI review even with 25mW seems a bit... Well... Outdated, at best :( I hope others will join with low-latency digital systems so the prices can go down as I cannot afford $1k for it right now, but looking at more and more youtube reviews, I am starting to think about budget options.

Rapidfire is definitely better both at multipath and penetration by my viewing. It was actually more of a difference than I expected, the tbs fusion is still good but no way I'd change out my rapidfire. I noticed it looked a bit flickery at the start too with multipath which is one of rapidfires main strengths. Great comparison location JB!

Rapid Fire has the better image right now but keep in mind the fusion is brand new and will most likely improve with future FW updates. Even with the SLIGHTLY lower signal quality the Fusion sports some pretty cool features for people using crossfire and/or SmartAudio that could make it worth it. For me personally, I'll be waiting until this device has proven itself over time before I consider switching from RF

The one on the right , it seems to stay more locked in. Are you using the same antennas for the modules? New does not mean better. I have learned that the hard way. Lol

I just don't get how people declare one module is way better than another. To my old eyes there is nowhere near enough of a difference to make a decision based off of the video. For me anyway, it would come down to features of the module. But i still fly true d even after buying RF due to liking the feature set and menus much better. I gave the RF to my son. Even with the crsf integration i still don't see a good enough reason to leave my trusty true d.

For being in beta the Fusion is pretty darn good... Right now Fusion is doing way better of multipath than penetration/reception which they’re planning on working on more. Livyu Preda posted some great comparison video of multipath testing that showed its signal reconstruction abilities - that’s really the selling point given they’re putting out 2W 5.8 VTX’s now.

Thanks for reminding me what crap TBS puts out. I'm sticking with my 🍰

Great vid, nice to view new things coming out.sticking with my Achilles (because rapid fire was always out of stock in uk) until a tried and tested rock solid hd system comes along,

Right picture looks a bit better than left, for me.

RF 🗽

The DJI doesn't necessarily get better reception, just better image quality. In fact, the dji in some cases has worse reception than analog systems

I’m telling Trappy! JK

I'm calling it for RF.

Thx for doing stuff like this!

Almost identical. But if you really try to pick it out I would say RF has the edge. DJI seems to be cleaner overall.

Fusion did great with the exception of minor spots it wasn’t much difference.

Get off my channel dude.

The one on the right is rapid fire. If you look on the osd the rapid fire displays the rssi lines straight across the osd up top.

Which is which? The one on the right looks better to me.

RF wins

Looks like the fusion held its own on that test

And the verdict....

👍🤓
