Early look at "Inside The Goggles"

This video literally just finished uploading. I haven't even done the thumbnail or description, but I want you to have the first look. I put a GoPro in the Fat Shark HD3, HD2, DomV3, Skyzone Sky03, Aomway Commander V2, and Eachine EV200D. I think this is the best anyone has done at capturing what these goggles all look like. I even used an HDMI to RCA converter to let me play the same flight video intothengigglws from my laptop. So you can really compare!

I am still learning everything I always flying helicopters ๐Ÿš since 9 months quads! Thx to the help of Joshua I learned a lot more ! Ow and I am new today as a patron ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ„

Hey Josh, thanks for your help...your saving my FPV life :) ๐Ÿ‘

Don v3 will be my firstborn eye candy. Canโ€™t wait to try.

I really have to thank you. I came to the same conclusion, when you were first comparing RapidFire to the others, just as HDOs came out....and then of course youโ€™d tested those too. I also got to see that I loved the Furious Tru-D, for its interface, and perfectly acceptable performance. I saved for months, to afford the good stuff, and for me, you made the choices perfectly clear. HDOs, with a RapidFire, and a Furious Tru-D back up...cozโ€™ useful spares... create a magnificent State of the Art combo. 6 months ago, I didnโ€™t know what any of that stuff was...๐Ÿ˜‚ Thanks Brother! ๐Ÿ––

No Aomway Commander V1?

JB....Are you using Clearview for the receiver on all goggles....Picture is clean without static.

I know the DJI RE different class all together and I assume not included because no serious FPV pilot would choose them, but I've been using my DJI RE googles since they came out. Sure there's a little extra latency; I assume the delay is due to the processing gain required to make up for the lack of a diversity radio, but they're not the worse googles. The RE goggles are actually a pretty good solution for someone who owns DJI and doesn't want to spend over a grand for two sets of quality goggles.

Honestly I'm surprised at how terrible the footage looks from the Fatshark goggles on playback. I'm wondering: what fpv camera was used and what settings. I would like to suggest a few things. Use the most popular (standard) fpv camera, an hs1177, with a 2.1 lens (worth noting which 2.1 you use). Provide the settings for the camera and hopefully they are the ones most of us always use which are commonly shared around as "optimal" for a starting point. Also how much brightness and contrast is set on the goggles themselves. Make sure the gopro is set to ProTune and use a flat profile so that GoPro color doesn't add contrast and saturation to the image. Will probably require a small amount of adding contrast, etc, in post to grade it closer to what we see in the goggle but it doesn't have to be perfect just close enough. This should help alleviate the blow out highlights consistent in almost all the footage with the exception of the Eachine which looks amazing and like most of what my Fatshark feeds look like.

Great Video. Keep up the good work!

Lovely. I have the cheapest googles, and they are fine for a beginner. It is grand to see all these together. When I am ready for my next upgrade, I'll be better informed. Yes, I learned something. hahahaha. Thank you thank you thank you.

This is way I suppose you. Thanks more to think about.

I don't have an Aomway v1 any more.

Joshua Bardwell

I just don't have them any more.

Well done JB!

While such is all good and well. Until i can figure out whats causing my images to apeared washed out over multiple displays Iโ€™m. not apt to really consider any of it.

I own an aomway v1 and am quit satisfied (never had an other goggle) But the video of the aomway v2 relly looks cheap.I think you better can buy the V1. @JB did you alsotest the aomway V1?

Very nice comparison. Perhaps this is a video that you can keep adding to over time as more goggle come out or that you can use to check. Surprised that the Aomway V1 was missing.

Love to see the your thoughts on the Falcons

This is the best comparison video I've ever seen thank you. I currently use dominator V3 and love them mostly because my wide IPd Causes double vision 4:3 fat shark goggles But at least now I can see how much better the HDOs are

Nice comparison JB I presently use the fat shark Dv3 goggles and will continue doing so for now however I like the FS HD image I just don't currently like the price :-)

Great, you're gonna make me buy new goggles, aren't you JB?
