One thing I Will say is there is also another arranged version of ernst which you just saw from the ys vs sora no kiseki game that I'm sad didn't make it onto this batch of videos and field zanmai is what they called the album these tracks were released for

2025-06-22 02:28:46 +0000 UTC"How consistent are all these games?" - This style, where you're controlling just Adol solo and the characters are 2d sprites on 3d backgrounds, was the style for three games: Ys 6 as seen here, Ys: Oath in Felghana (which was sort of a remake of Ys 3), and Ys Origin. All the earlier ones (up to 5) are straight 2d without the 3d backgrounds, and they have stiffer movement than this. All the later ones (7 and up) are full 3d with a party instead of just Adol, and control is a little more indirect instead of this arcade beat-em-up style of control. Speaking personally, this 3-game period is my favorite part of the series' history. (editing to amend/clarify: Ys Origin isn't just Adol, but it's one character solo at a time, not a party fighting simultaneously like Ys 7 introduces)
