Stand Unrivaled is one of my favorite video game tracks of all time. From beginning to end, it's a wild ride. The blend of a traditional Japanese instrument with hard rock is such a creative take that I'm wondering if any rock band has ever done this before. Also that beginning makes you think it's all going to be a cinematic martial arts film but then a rock band decides to start shredding in it's place. I've heard this song so many times and I still have no idea what the lyrical part is saying and I can't seem to find any details either. Jubei is a mentor figure for Ragna, the main protagonist of Blazblue. If you hear his voice in game, it feels a bit similar to Mick's voice in the Rocky movies, just a bit more laid-back. Plus, it is implied that Jubei is one of the most powerful characters in Blazblue's story, hence the name of the song being called Stand Unrivaled. (Fyi, Kirk Thornton voices him. He also voices Shadow the Hedgehog.) Damn, now I want to play more Blazblue...
