True, but most people prefer the console version over the GBA one. If it was first or not doesn't really matter if it stood the test of time as the defacto one everyone knows.

2024-12-25 13:16:58 +0000 UTCFunny because i suggested a kh song too for your vgm9 vibes, a song entitled "a fight to the death" (on the list btw). 13th struggle is really iconic and in KH3 it plays different depending on the character you fight. I think it's one of those song that fans really like over the time and the devs were like "ok we will give it more to you" type of thing lol.

2024-12-25 03:03:17 +0000 UTCThe 13th Struggle is a really good boss theme. First it was in KH2, then Re: Chain of Memories and got re-arranged for KH3's super hard dlc bosses. There is a Larxene version in KH3 that is much closer to what Chain of Memories and KH2 had. There is also another boss theme from KH2 that got the same treatment in KH3, and that is the 13th dilemma. Yet again with 2 distinct versions, one for Saix, and the other for Xigbar.

As for where it plays, pretty much whenever you fight a member of the organization, so any Disney world is possible, not just Halloween town. As for why Luxord’s version in KH 3 sounds sort of tactical is he is a gambler who uses strategy and chance to win fights with a deck of playing cards. He’s also my favorite organization member aside from Axel. Looking forward to vgmv 9!

2024-12-24 23:34:10 +0000 UTCRegarding 13th struggle there is actually a version of the song for several enemy organization members. I think my favorite is probably Axel's version, you fight him at the climax of the KH2 prologue
