Added 2025-04-26 09:30:47 +0000 UTCThe Night Delinquent was sewn from outer dark plucked by the First Weapon's Holy Scalpels (before they were flaming swords of unmaking they were surgical tools of universe building) and was originally made to entertain the Angels as they recuperated from building reality. 'Night' and 'Day' had not yet come to exist in space and the first planets were still cooling/fermenting. Newborn suns did sleep in the early age and for a time all the stars would dim and much of the under-construction reality would sleep while the Angels indulged themselves in private thoughts.
One particularly rebellious First Weapon took to creating golem puppets sewn of living shadow and stained with Angel grievances against their master's work. Angel emotions have such power as to spring sentience from itself, and in that early era inconsequential things like 'Time' and 'Reality' were still new tools and had no set parameters.

The music and image attached allows one to imagine an empty sleeping space, in which light from many awakened suns begins to light up everywhere and how angels decorate planets and other cosmic bodies. Then the part describing fatigue and sadness from deep resentment and something sinister is preparing its plan. And the last part is like the Night Delinquent incarnates from the darkness and arranges a dirty trick/prank on these stars and thus everything ends in quiet chaos.

So if Harlequins exist to reinforce the creation of the universe and its shepherding by the First Weapons, can we see the Night Delinquents as the very first tricksters and rogues of early reality? The level of detail with this guy is nuts.
