Fun fact: Ocarina of Time was the first game to create the GROUNDBREAKING technique known as Z-targeting. If you’ve ever played a game with a “lock-on feature” this game invented that concept.

Ganondorf is the human form, and Gannon is the monster form. As for why it is the best, it's because everything blends perfectly. Also, before this game, adventure games in 3D were clunky and difficult to control; this game pretty much pioneered targeting systems and context-sensitive actions, which other companies had struggled with implementing up to that point. It's still amazing that Nintendo succeeded so well on their first attempt at a 3D action-adventure game. Even today, numerous devs credit OOT as the inspiration for their games. It is the rare game that truly has stood the test of time which is ironic given the premise of the game itself which I won’t spoil just in case you ever decide to play it.

Fun fact:
There are multiple aspects to the design of the Forest temple to indicate it was originally meant to be designed as a wind temple, with wind being the main theme of the dungeon. The forest temple medallion has a windmill-like design, and there are a lot of other designs and object file names that seem to suggest it as well

I was also a flute player for about 6-7 years in school myself! It's funny you mention wanting to play a clarinet, I recall wanting to also try it out, along with the trumpet. Turned out that I was recommended to try the flute at the suggestion of my first instructor who said it fit me the best out of everything we tried. The flute I eventually got and still have to this day is made of silver, it's a popular metal for flutes!
As for the title theme; the song actually plays before you even get to the main file select. While this song is playing, you're treated to a simple scene of Link, roaming around Hyrule Field at early dawn, riding horseback as the title fades in. Brings back a lot of memories!
I love that you called the Forest Temple a Halloween forest, that has way more weight than you think it does! I never really thought of it like that before but considering you're dealing with plenty of ghosts, spiders, skeletons, the very corridors twisting themselves as you navigate them, it's very otherworldly for when you reach it around the beginning of the mid-game.
FInal bit, I know my comment is long! Ganondorf is the villain in his human form, but if he ever transforms into a more beastly form, then his name changes to Ganon.

The title music for OOT ( like the rest the games soundtrack) is among the best video game music ever crafted. The visual that accompanies this specific piece is Link riding Epona across Hyrule Field. It's definitely a stark departure from the music used for the title screen in other games in the series but I think that is why it works. From the moment you hear those first few notes it is clear that this adventure is going to be more personal and cinematic than the 2D adventures that came up to that point.
The forest temple theme is so mystical, which perfectly blends with the aesthetic of the dungeon itself, full of nature, yet a bit haunting.
