Taking suggestions for VGM Vibes 5 ~ Fire

Good morning.
In the midst of recording another huge batch of videos, I'd like to get the ball rolling on the 5th installment for the Vibes series, this time being the theme of fire.

This could be anything from fire themed levels, simply fire in the song title, to characters that have fire infused attacks. I will also consider all aspects of heat like lava, magma, heat, burning etc.

----------
Reminder that I prioritize suggestions based on songs I've reacted to on the channel to already, or songs currently waiting in the list. Any suggestion that's not one of these two will get the least consideration.
----------

You have plenty of time to think, but in the meantime, here are some keywords & ideas to help you. (Voting post will be later after suggestions are rounded up)

fire, fire boss, flame, burn, combustion, fire attack, fire element, fire weapon, volcanoes, magma, lava, hot, heat, blaze, inferno, hell, underworld, campfire, embers, pyre, melt, furnace, spark.

Taking suggestions for VGM Vibes 5 ~ Fire

Comments

May be super super late, but one you've already done is Sonic Adventure - Red Hot Skull One that I requested was Rocket Robot On Wheels - Pyramid Scheme (Lava World)

kfire

probably too late but Mt Blaze from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

Phillip Leger

Just a small precision, I saw someone recommend "Cauldros (day)" from Xenoblade Chronicles X. This is the same music as "Kuro no Tairiku" (which is the official title), but just so you know : a lot of Sawano's OST are put together as two in one. If you search for Kuro no Tairiku you're gonna find both Cauldros (day) and Cauldros (night) in the same soundtrack, simply put one after the other under the same name. Some Youtube channels seperate the songs, hence renaming them, so if you search for a specific version you can find it as a standalone. Up til now as far as I'm concerned you've only reacted to some of the few tracks Sawano has not put together with another track under the same name, but I assume this is bound to happen, especially with area themes that all have both the day and night version as one track. Wether you wish to hear both at the same time is up to you now. (I don't know why Hiroyuki Sawano does this, he did the same with the Kill la Kill OST and looking for a specific track can prove quite challenging thanks to that as sometimes he puts together two songs that have nothing to do with each other...) Sorry for the long post, I don't know if that has already been explained (probably) but I hope it's a bit clearer now, at least for the case of Cauldros/Kuro no Tairiku (Cauldros simply being the area's name).

Al Tefkat

Not sure if there's time, but maybe Butterfly Emerges from Chrysalis "Orochi New Face Team Theme" from The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match

Nicholas Silva

I second the Blaze Heatnix theme from Mega Man X6. Banger. There is Also Burn Dinorex from Mega Man X5. https://youtu.be/DScVPcxh5Gs?feature=shared Division 2: Warlords of New York - Firestarter Main mission where you fight a pyromaniac based faction so tons of fire weapons and environments. https://youtu.be/fBHv4DJ11qk?feature=shared Star Fox 64 - Sector Y & Solar - same song gets used for two missions. Solar takes place on the surface of a Sun. https://youtu.be/Kt6q5sRv9Ao?feature=shared Also have a digestion from one of the banner franchises for Jessie, Ace Combat Zero - Inferno. https://youtu.be/F7dlWplYXJA?feature=shared

RogueMonk

I second Hot Head Bop. That is a BOP.

Jake Johnson

Spirit of Fire, aka Bullet's Theme from BlazBlue! Not only is the song title pretty on the nose, she does use a mix of flaming attacks and grapples with a pretty fiery attitude. Thought it'd be a fun one to recommend.

Teyano

Crisis City from Sonic the hedgehog (2006). The game was a disaster, but the music was FIRE. Particularty, this one really feels like 'Crisis' . Oh, there are also two remixes in Sonic Generation, which is mentioned on a comment above. Might check it out as well. https://youtu.be/TKNQEol9OXM?si=eMgo6yQxmH6ZxDZj

Jungbin Hwang

The ones that come to my mind that you have reacted to: Final Fantasy XVI - Find the Flame and Fatalis' medley Ones you haven't yet reacted to, World of Warcraft - Burning Steppes Though for me my mind always goes to Magma Cone from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage

Thegoodtwo

I'll suggest Cauldros (Day) from Xenoblade Chronicles X, why not.

CF

Good one, would have also thrown that in aside from my suggestion.

Qarvus

"Mountains in an Angry Sky" - Kirby Triple Deluxe You can really feel the power of the volcanoes around you with this track :/ "Another Medium" - Undertale Plays while you're travelling through Hotland, a cavern filled with lava and machines ( also it's an amazing ost even without the lava part :P ) "Drought" - Pokemon Ruby / Omega Ruby This ost plays when Groudon, the pokemon of Land, is woken up and starts drying up the sea. This one just feels like the end of the world ._.

SumiYokai

My suggestions that have not been reacted to yet are Mars Lighthouse from Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It's a fire themed dungeon so it's perfect for representing the fire element. Or if I can throw in my own request, Burning Steppes (WoW Cataclysm) for a more volcanic, ambient track.

SPiTFirE

Since both are on the list: Reach For the Moon, Immortal Smoke - Touhou 8 Solar Sect. of Mystic Wisdom ~ Nuclear Fusion - Touhou 11

Xanudo

Magmoor Caverns- Metroid Prime

benjamin Miller

Touhou 11 - Hellfire Mantle

Daniel Lowell

From the ones you already reacted to, The Bond of Flames Put To Test (Tales of Zestiria) came immediately to mind.

LilleeAnn

The moment I saw the theme, I immediately knew which would fit right up this alley: Etrian Odyssey 3 - Cavern of Splendor It's the theme of a cavern filled with magma.

Damien Bongers

My suggestion - Sonic The Hedgehog(2006) - Crisis City, It's a really intense track and really gives off this ''the world is in danger'' vibe.

star light

Infernal Tokyo from SMTIV would be a good choice. As the previous commenter stated underground district is intense but I think the overworld theme named simply β€œInfernal Tokyo” is an ideal example of music for a fire infested world.

Tommas

My suggestion would be Infernal Tokyo Underground District for Shin Megami Tensei IV. Although the regular Infernal Tokyo theme has been suggested in the list, I believe the underground theme catches more of an "intense" or kind of the "heat of battle" from a demon infested Tokyo.

Luigi

Already listened: Hot Head Bop from Donkey Kong Country 2; gotta have some David Wise representation. Also maybe one from FF XVI? The game is literally centered around Ifrit (Eikon of Fire). Either "Away" or "Find the Flame" would be very appropriate. I would save "Ascension" for when your "dragon-themed" episode rolls around :O (Or why not both Β―\_ (ツ)_/Β― )

Buekle

I will leave Ys: The Oath in Felgnana - Searing Struggle in here. Because that place sure is hot.

Bodomi

The Mega Man series has quite a few fire themed levels. On your list: Mega Man X6 - Blaze Heatnix Mega Man Zero 3 - Volcano Remastered Telos

Darten

He's already doing two songs per video by default, so if he's got two versions of the same song in the request list, it's only natural to join them together. And there have already been several cases where Jesse had added another version of the song to the video when it made sense, even if said version hadn't been requested per se.

Antis

When it comes to stories and worldbuilding themed around fire, Dark Souls is one of the most notable examples. I would recommend: Dark Souls - Gwyn, Lord of Cinder (on the list) Dark Souls 3 - Soul of Cinder (not on list, but fits very well alongside the above)

Dittachu

On your list: Odin sphere - Rise and Invasion I can't think of anything that encapsulates the feeling of smoldering debris before another eruption swells. Not to mention, the main subject of the song is the devastation wrought by the Inferno King.

witchtimez

I recommend "Ride the Fire" from Guilty Gear Xrd, which is the Dragon Install theme, as well as "Find the Flame" from Final Fantasy XVI (though that one may be too obvious). I would also recommend Erosion of Madness from Sen no Kiseki III (Trails of Cold Steel III), which is the theme of the character known as McBurn (yes it's very on the nose). He also appears in Sen no Kiseki IV (Trails of Cold Steel IV) and has a boss theme under Blazing Demon McBurn, which I believe is called The Enforcers.

MrInsecure

I love all three, I thought it would be a little more reasonable to ask him to listen to just one of them

mayonayo64

My friend, just having fire in the name is enough. Let's see how we can stretch that. Perhaps any good excuse to talk about FF9's Vamo' Alla FLAMEnco, eh? If that's a little too cheeky, then alternatively, could do Dissidia Duodecim's God of Fire, or better yet, you haven't tackled the main theme of Fire Emblem: Three Houses - The Edge of Dawn, which are both on your list.

Anicad

I think my request of Cinder's theme from Killer Instinct matches the theme perfectly(kinda helps that he's literally a flame too)

Ifrit

I don't know if it's been suggested but when I think magma the best area theme I've ever heard for this kind of environment comes from Xenoblade Chronicles X : "Kuro no Tairiku" by Hiroyuki Sawano.

Al Tefkat

Also a few not on the list so probably not considered but I think they're great enough to warrant a mention: Super Mario Galaxy - Melty Molten Galaxy (sounds epic) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Earth Temple (trust me, it's more akin to a fire temple) Final Fantasy XV - Insomnia Ablaze (I had this on repeat for a while)

Kapitein KOEK

Nice idea. I'd like to add the following suggestion (on the list, not yet listened to): Golden Sun: The Lost Age - Mars Lighthouse. Basically, in this game, Mars = fire, so it fits nicely.

Kapitein KOEK

Out of the ones you've listened to already, I'd say either the Fire Cavern theme (Find Your Way) from Final Fantasy VIII or Hellfire from Final Fantasy XV.

Antares91

Turtle rock from Legend of Zelda. A link between worlds

Tim Krystoff

Random extras I thought of not on your list: Final Fantasy I - Gurgu Volcano, Mega Man 2 - Heat Man, Mega Man X - Flame Mammoth, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Fire! (Arcade and/or NES), Super Metroid - Norfair, Super Metroid - Lower Norfair, Super Mario RPG - Barrel Volcano, Life Force - Stage 3 Blazing Phoenix, Demon's Souls - Flamelurker, Dark Souls - Bed of Chaos

Maxbeedo

On your list: Killer Instinct - Inferno (Cinder's Theme), Dark Souls - Gwyn Lord of Cinder, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD - Divine Fire

Maxbeedo

Reacted to: F-Zero GX - Feel Our Pain (Fire Field) (Though I might also recommend the SNES version of Fire Field)

Maxbeedo

Dark Groove - Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (on the list). It's the theme for the 'hell' level. There's fire.

Japie

My favorite dungeon theme from FFXIV falls under this and is on your list, so FFXIV - As the Sky Burns.

Velfarre

Aww, what the heck. You say just having fire in the name is enough, I'm taking you at your word ;-) I nominate Wandering Flame from Final Fantasy X, and Flamerock Refuge from Borderlands 2. You've heard the first one already, and the second one is on the request list. If nothing else, these should bring some variety to the mix.

Antis

I will just add a remidner here: Crisis City has three versions β€” the Sonic '06 original, and then two remixes from Sonic Generations, Classic and Modern. The original and Classic are on the request list, Modern is not. My suggestion would be, if Jesse's gonna do a reaction, to just do all three, and then pick whichever he likes the most for the Vibes video.

Antis

Lies of P - let there be flame Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze - Scorch 'N' Torch These are the only songs that came to my head at the moment

Rai

Interesting theming. Struggled to single one out but I have one that could be great: Mt. Pyre Peak - Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eu6tON1xkBU (Oddly enough, all the fire themed tracks that came to mind are all Nintendo games...)

Venusian Bacon

Fire from any version of the TMNT arcade game. But my nostalgia goes to the NES version. Also Blast Furnace from Ultra Street Fighter 4

Gabriel Medina

Magmoor Caverns from Metroid Prime. Set the mood perfectly for a lava-filled cavern, and was itself a lovely callback to the Lower Norfair theme in Super Metroid, another fiery area with floors that will melt you. Magmoor Caverns: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQCZIb0fbt8 Lower Norfair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pogkiSPJPX4

CSmed

I would suggest the Lower Norfair Area / Ridley's Lair from Super Metroid. The vibes I get from this one is like a descent down below while the lava is rising as you approach Samus' arch nemesis. One of the first tracks I got hooked on as a 90's kid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pogkiSPJPX4

Qarvus

Between all themes in the Monster Hunter series, I think Teostra it's the best choice https://youtu.be/kI1lxMd90cA?si=gxYrnsWoUBSOkqhB

RCDaniel

Inferno from Killer Instinct (2013) https://youtu.be/cRmwFBK0cyk?feature=shared

MalIce

"Burning Heat" from the Artificial Sun level of Gradius II... there's arcade, NES, and Dance Dance revolution versions, all good (DDR version has the most to talk about)

Patrick Shaughnessy

I was really thinking about it for 10 minutes which version I should pick, I like Modern's instrumentation a little more but I also like how much variation the original has

mayonayo64

One of my favourite theme is Magma Cavern from PokΓ©mon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr8Z2u2T7s0&ab_channel=VideoGameMusicResources

Luigi4160

Soul Calibur 2 - "HellFire" The theme that plays for the Demon of Soul Edge called "Inferno" who appears as a final boss in Soul Calibur 2 fighting for its life against the Player to stay alive in this world https://youtu.be/piIBaoySmIA?si=CvjgguYcTzW3R2D9

PuddinHun_11

I second this one but will add that I personally prefer the original full version of Crisis City from Sonic 06 so maybe check both of them out

Jade

Crisis City (Modern) from Sonic Generations is an awesome fire level theme. It has that fast paced energy, drums, and violins that are the main focus of the song (which are also super great). https://youtu.be/MyWezywxxqU?si=vUkSh_8IUr-5F6Qn
