2024-03-29 20:21:46 +0000 UTCI'll try to answer your question about the 1-2 connection without spoiling: The story of Ys 1 continues directly into Ys 2, in a way that's much more immediate and direct than how all the rest of the games in the series connect together. Both of my favorite ports of it (Chronicles, and the PC-Engine CD version) are ports that combine 1-2 into a single release, which is a decision that makes a lot of sense with how the story works.
