Everstone Daycare v0.7 - October Demo

Howdy everyone!

Happy Halloween. I hope you’re all having a good one.

An unfortunate last minute upload, but the new demo is out, featuring the new robo-hands related scene, for all your robo hands lovers. That’s it for now, but I hope you all still enjoy it!

To access the new scene, you must have gone through the first robo-hands scene (by clicking on the changing table in the change room adjacent to the nap room) and have met Janitor Trubbish (by entering the Supply Room next to the Playroom, at the end of the hall.)

Once both conditions have been met, chatting with Janitor Trubbish in the Supply Room will open the new dialogue option [“Do you know about the changing table beside the Nap Room?”] that will lead you directly into the scene (assuming you choose to go with your gut and enter the strange door).

The writing itself is about 5000 words in length total, though the actual scene can be longer or shorter depending on your decisions. To watch the full scene, please [Close the door] and [Don’t try to run]. It’s a small experiment on trying to have fewer dialogue choices that are more for flavor and don’t do anything, and is hopefully something I get better at doing as I go on.

Install Instructions

Due to the increasing size of the project, the file will now be hosted on my itch.io page for the game [password: Robohands912]

Please extract the game folder to your directory of choice, and then run the 'Everstone Daycare.exe' file within to play the  game. Enjoy!

Please note for the Mac version that this is not a signed app, so you may encounter an error  when first trying to open this program. Please follow the instructions  on this support page to work around this.

Disclaimer

Any saves carried over from previous demos might cause issues when playing through them in the current demo. In the event that any flags, variables, and other data were changed in a scene after you had completed it already in your current save file, you might not be able to access the new content. Creating a new game file is advised.

Bug Fixes

I found a solution to the font issue present in the Mac version of the game. The Mac version should have the correct font from here on out.

Known Issues

Loading into a save where the Patrol system is active causes you to freeze or crash. I've yet to find the solution for this, but for now, I'd suggest not saving at these points in the game.
