Everstone Daycare - Systems Demo

It’s here! After a pretty intense last few days, we’re proud to present the Everstone Daycare Systems Demo! As explained previously, this will just be a small demo showcasing the UI, game systems, and a small bit of gameplay to give everyone a feel for what’s to come and an idea of what the game is going to shape up to be. It’s also a great way for me to collect feedback from you guys as to what parts you liked, what parts you would prefer to be changed, and to find any bugs and issues that I may have missed.

Please note though that all the artwork present in the demo is still just a rough draft and isn’t representative of how it will look in the final game. The events that occur will also not be canon to the main story that we will be creating for the game.

In the demo, you’ll find a short introduction to each of the UI elements, and the game systems and how they affect the map/gameplay. After the tutorial, you’ll be able to freely explore a small portion of the map (about 7 rooms) and interact with all the elements that were shown in the tutorial. The scope is very small, but hopefully this will be a good and convincing enough proof of concept for everyone.

For the sake of being able to interact with and manipulate the different systems easily, certain characters will be present in areas they wouldn’t usually be in. If characters are present in areas where it seems like it wouldn’t be obvious that they’re there or they don’t fit thematically, that’s the reason why. I hope it doesn’t end up being too confusing.

Without further ado, with art from Spooky and music from Tennet, please enjoy the Systems Demo of Everstone Daycare!

Played the game last night and was pretty amazed by the quality of it. I love checking my the mirror and noticing my hypno state made me drool mindlessly. It’s small details like that that really help me sync into my character. Though I wish there was messing in the game I understand that this is just a demo for game mechanics and saw that there was at least mention of it, so I’ll be hopefully looking forward for that. In terms of visual novels it’s pretty interactive with it’s day and night cycle. All in all it was a great experience that I’m glad to be a supporter of. Can’t wait to mess my brains out as a big baby charizard in the final version!

Princess Amber

Diaper and hypnosis state affecting the dialogue was not something we implemented in the demo, but it is planned to feature in future releases

really very interesting. I wonder where all this can lead us. I don't know what you want to say in your story, but it would be really good for the regression to be progressive, even if it means adding stages of hypnosis or making the player character more humiliated at the start by wearing diaper. on the gameplay nothing wrong, just I don't know if it's a bug or something not yet implemented but no matter the state of the diaper or the level of hypnosis the dialogue does not change.

No need to apologize! I definitely need to make what those buttons do more obvious!

Ah, my apologies! That makes more sense, I should have know you'd already thought of that.

There is already a button to access the chat log. There are buttons by the upper right side of the chat box. The second button from the right opens the chat log. I'll try my best to make that button more visible or be clearer in the future.

otherwise, it's looking great y'all.

No bugs I encountered, although something I think might be helpful in the future if it's not already in the works is some kind of chat log to review what was said previously in sequence might make things a bit easier to follow when things get more complex as npcs are added and so on.

There's a certain aesthetic I want to go for but I understand the issue. I'll try to find a more legible font to use in the future. I'll also try to look into what I can do about the backlog.

It's very impressive. Although the font makes the atmosphere of the game alive, it is difficult to find out the contents of the text. Can you add an option to change the font or change the font only in the backlog? Maybe in Gothic?

absolutely lovely cant wait to see more

I told you guys you could do it~ I will give all three of you goldstars for a job well done~!
