Them Videos, Right?

Yeah, I just noticed that "permissions" stuff that some of you have been experiencing with videos on Google Drive too. 😠 I'm working on it... thinking I might just splurge the $6/month on a Vimeo account (hey, you kind folks are each pitching me $6/month, so it only seems appropriate). Consistency, ease of access, and I don't have to worry about overlords.

Thing is, I've mainly been posting short stuff so far, but I actually have some fun ideas for longer videos rolling around in my head as I'm getting comfier with this stuff. The kind of stuff that I can't *guarantee* y'all haven't seen before, but if it's out there *I* certainly haven't seen it...

Quick hint — I got one idea from a documentary I watched on the history of Vaudeville. Some of these acts wanted to titillate (see what I did there?) the audience with a burlesque element, but since these troupes traveled all over, from big reckless cities to conservative little towns, they wanted to create acts that walked the line between tongue-in-cheek and risqué, but that wouldn't draw any ire from the "purer" members of the crowd. There was an art to finding that balance, while still somehow being original.

You know what? My great-great-aunt toured on the Vaudeville circuit in the '20s. She died when I was really young, so I never got the chance to know her, but a small handful of stories have been passed down through the family. Apparently, it was a fucking wild ride. Seems like a cool chick.

Time will tell if I inherited any of her talent. 😘
