2. Floor Object with the pot on the floor/small pedestal ( like the mill)

It seems all non food crafting mods are being associated with the stove. From soaps to perfumes etc. I'm totally ignorant of how perfume is manually crafted. But do you really use a stove to make home crafted perfume? vs. alternative means like a science work bench with chemistry junk (beakers, flasks bunsen burners etc). Or primitive if off grid like using a large cauldron/vat (works if sim is an occult sim as well) etc. to make perfume? It's just that--using the stove of all things--basically what ppl use to prep edible consumables. Lol

The mill is already such a FANTASTIC object it does SOOO much and has sooo many options, it would be so streamlined when my character is making goods to work one machine instead of switching between two objects. I can't remember who made a little table distiller for perfumery, but 'add to the mill' idea, magnifique!

2024-03-22 23:15:09 +0000 UTCAlso another more practical reason for using a different (custom) object is to lower the amount of pie menu selection you have on the stove. Example: I've got SCCO which now works beautifully with all of your food/harvestables. And several other modders as well (Oni, Robin LBB etc). You made an excellent decision to separate out your custom food mods by using that spice rack object. But unfortunately, the other modders didn't do this. So the pie menu is turning into a bit of a cluster f@ck lol. i.e. when you try to find the soap/perfume making menu option v. custom food option.

2024-03-22 23:11:16 +0000 UTCOho got it! Question I've got for you and all modders who do perfume/soap making: why the obsession with the stove? The current perfume (Simpsonian) mod I'm using does just this. Can't tell you how crazy it looks when I've got one of my sims making perfume in the kitchen. And his wife gets inspired and starts making one of your delicious gourmet meals on the twin stove right next to him. LOL. But from logical perspective, why not add the mod to another more practical base game object? Like a re-mesh of the science lab station? This seems to have all the right animations (mixing lab chemicals in flasks etc)? Or even an EP based on like the Cauldron for variety? IDK. But a do swear if any of my family simmes get a perfumed moodlet when chowing down on one of your custom recipes, I swear I'm going to have to smack the pixelation out of them. LMAO.

But now I want to take this up again and extract fragrance and essence and make essential oils, fragrance oils, perfumes, dyes among other things complete with skill and all. Will most likely like my mill but some parts may require the stove too like soap making
