Chilled Desserts

What type of chilled desserts do you like ? Anything very popular in your country ?

Any special appliance for making them ( already have plans for a granita/slusie maker, snowcone maker and shaved ice maker)

Comments

I know there are ice creams already, but i prefer gelato. not sure if that was mentioned

Karen S

Popular here lately are frozen alcoholic beverages--Baileys milkshakes, Margarita slushies.

Artic Roll is a typical british ice cream cake which is a roll of ice cream with a layer of jam and covered in vanilla cake. Would be great to get that in game x

I'm pretty fond of frozen/half frozen berries with sugar. My mom likes them with whipped cream. You can put them over shortcake, biscuits or yogurt too.

Taryn Garrett

lillie meurer

Raspados! When I went on vacation to my country I loved these Snow cones. although they are snow cones they are thick because of the fruit syrups and condensed milk that drizzled on top. Pic: https://wikisivar.com/dulces-tipicos-de-el-salvador/ Also ChocoBanana!!

Cristal Fuentes

banana split, parfait, strawberry shortcakes. I love Dairy Queen here in the states. BryrRose and the bullet idea sims can add cookies from the cookie jar, or candies like ATS chocolate bars, and nuts!!!! Yummy. Ice cream social events galore!

amicuspaxim

I don't know if this has been done or can be done but I love homemade smoothies, milkshakes and frozen coffees, so you would definitely need a blender or a bullet.

BryrRose (Gamin' Grannie)

I've always loved custard

Wendy Roos

I LOVE Tartufo https://www.tasteatlas.com/most-popular-frozen-desserts-in-calabria

I love making a chocolate mousse with whipped egg white and melted dark chocolate, no sugar. I mix grated orange zest under it. My family loves it and its a healthy dessert and fit for lactose-intolerant people too. It´s our christmas dessert by now, no heavy stomach anymore :-). And some other suggestions: from Italy I like semifreddo and Granita; from France Parfait ; germany loves its spaghetti-icecream, I love the donauwelle-cake (danubewave-cake); Bavarian-Cream is heavy but nice https://www.tasteatlas.com/most-popular-frozen-desserts-in-italy https://www.tasteatlas.com/most-popular-frozen-desserts-in-france https://www.tasteatlas.com/most-popular-desserts-in-germany

Ardled

Parfait - maybe some ice cream street food.

DovahFem

Hihi, I hardly dare suggest it: Pear Helene. Very typical German: A sweet cooked pear served cold as a whole together with chocolate pudding and sweet creme. "Birne Helene" is served everywhere in cafés or ice cafés over here.

Last week my Beverage distributor surprised me with a new ice cream he had: Baked Apple Ice Cream!!! It was expensive as hell, but I had to try it - what shall I say but YUMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYY!

Steffi Jänsch

I'm in California and my favorite is Ube ice cream! I also think it would be a fun harvestable! There are many things you can make with it and it has this gorgeous purple color. I also love Earl Gray ice cream. That would also be fun if you could make tea flavored ice creams like Jasmine and green tea Et cetera! :)

WanderingRose1125

i grew up on the mexican border and I remember loving being a kid in summer eating strawberry and mango paletas

Sachii

I really enjoy a good Pot of Rice Pudding... I grew up with it, yet in my Later Years I prefer the Vegan Coconut Variant (Rice Pudding with Coconutmilk).

BenteNds

Français : les profiteroles

Véronique Giangrande

I'm in the Los Angeles, California area USA. Bubble Waffle Cones and Taiyaki are really popular currently. I tend to stay with the Michoacana shops, excellent ice cream flavors, fresh fruit, fresh whipped cream. They also make paleta, which are popsicles with fruit chunks in them (or cookies, or whatever).

Shadowkeeper

Ice Cream Cakes

Blessed Queen

Ice cream sundaes.. peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream(USA)

Kam

omg..yum!!

MunMun

Or The White Lady ... a hot vanilla pancake with hot vanilla sauce and cold vanilla ice cream on top, served with several nuts and sweet cream ... yummy ...

Steffi Jänsch

Spaghetti ice cream with frozen cream in the middle and strawberry juice with white chocolate crumbles ...

Steffi Jänsch

Pêche Melba (1 pêche pochée dressée dans une coupelle sur 1 ou 2 boules de vanille. On nappe de coulis fraise ou framboise et on ajoute de la chantilly. C'est trop bon ! 😍😍

Guenievre Reine

Ice cream sandwiches, sherbert, dippin dots, mangum ice cream bars, klondike bars

SK360

Dipping dots

Simmerina

@icemumun Always difficult to describe food texture in my second language, but I'd describe it as... kind of grainy? Like if you made a pudding out of cheese. It's also more of a mild savory cheese taste than sweet, you usually add strawberry jam and maybe some whipped cream to make it more dessert-ish.

Anna

Banana Splits (USA)

Trish Doss

Yum...looks delicious!

MunMun

Ooo..I will look it up more! So what is the texture like ? More like ice cream cake ?

MunMun

In the Philippines, we have tons, but I think Halo Halo would be the most popular.

Puking king

@icemunmun In the sense that it is cake that is made of cheese, yes. Does it have the same taste or texture as what English-speakers call cheesecake? Absolutely not. 😄

Anna

It can definitely be made either as a standalone or as part of the saved ice machine!

MunMun

Ice Cream Cake! (USA)

Mama P Sims

Ooo...I think we have something of that sort in my country too..especially Mango ones!!

MunMun

I searched for Ostkaka and wiki says its Swedish cheesecake so I am definitely up for it lol....If its cheesecake, I am game lol

MunMun

That is definitely what I am planning for my shaved ice machine!

MunMun

There's a pretty popular iced dessert in Korea called bingsu! I think it's also commonly called '(flavor) shaved ice' in English. You add a topping (or several) and sometimes syrup on top of a dollop of shaved ice, and name it after the main extra ingredient. So depending on the toppings, it becomes 'red bean bingsu' or 'mango bingsu' or 'strawberry bingsu' and so on. Red bean is the traditional basic form, but nowadays people enjoy lots of different fruit bingsu. I think it would go really well with your harvestables and a shaved ice machine, if you ever consider making some it would be so awesome <3

RLL

Where I'm from in the Caribbean we have this thing called specials, they're just frozen island juices like mango, tamarind, pineapple, guava, etc and they're in a little plastic cup.

PINKFOGG

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure Sweden has any, beyond generic ones like icecream. Maybe mousse or puddings? I know we also have ostkaka, but that's traditional and not hugely popular. And I don't really like semla so I'm disqualifying that one as well. 😄

Anna

Don't remember if you've done this or not, but ice kacang would be fantastic!

Bonjour Icemunmun, mon dessert glacé préféré est le bananasplit, une banane, une boule de glace chocolat, une boule de glace vanille, de la chantilly et du chocolat coulant dessus ;-)
