Preservation Station Ideas!

Now that I have seen the cottage canning, I want to keep my preservation station ( previously Canning station) seperate for the time being as i feel like the fridge/stove is already too crowded.

I will definitely want to add them to the cottage canning method at a later date.

I will also slowly change the bottle meshes and textured for the older preserve bottles.

What sort of stuff do you want me to add to the preservation station ? dessert jars ? Yogurts ? Nut Butters ? Flavoured Honey ? . I have a lot more ideas regarding this. But first i want to know what you guys think!

What do you want to see added to the preservation station ?

Comments

Seria mejor y que si existe, miel de flores silvestres, de azahar, romero, mil flores....etc.

flavored honey sounds awesome, Clover honey or something.

farrell schambow

Chocolate Tray ? Can you give the last exception .txt file ( not BE) ?

MunMun

The next update will have the plopsy feature

MunMun

Can we sell them on plopsy?

Florence Tham

I'd really love to have a Swedish Blueberry Soup ... :D

Steffi Jänsch

oh I like the idea of potted meats! corned beef and tuna

Musique Deviant

I do so love the ideas of flavoured honeys, oils, vinegars. Steeped with herbs and spices. Nut butters would be awesome, and maybe cocoa-hazelnut butter, because Nutella is it's own reward. Being able to do potted meats or canned fish would be great, take them camping and so on.

Karen A

Good idea

MunMun

oooh flavoured honey!

Heather Thompson

I would love a smaller station? Something compact I can put in my kitchen like another oven?

Aelan Ryland

harissa (paste/sauce/powder) would be lovely!

i love all of those! Is there any compact/aprtment/tiny house version in the future plans? i love that the preservation station is separated but it would be interesting to have a smaller option too!

I've been waiting for the nut butters (dreamy)! Greek Yogurt-fruit variants (snack/quick brkfast) & non-flavored for recipes (We just made Turkish Chicken😋). Flavored honey--genius. I always at clover honey until I found other variants existed. I, also, sweeten with Agave. But my biggest thing, it would be great if some of the food recipes could use the sauces as ingredients/enhancements. (Or did I miss that?) Now, they make a sauce & eat on bread...which I normally wouldn't do. But to be able to add a hot sauce to the Magnolia Chicken once cooked 😲. (My fam is all about that "hot sauce in my bag" swag. They put if on most things.

Icemunmun has the storage shelves that come w/ the canning mod. Wasn't it 2 diff. sizes? Also, Srslysims has made many in-game items work as storage bins for items. I also have a separate inventory mod from LittleMsSam (BrazenLotus has 1, too) And some modder (Ravasheen?) has storage containers that you can name.

Charmbird

I would love nut butters, infused oils and I don't know if it would be possible but maybe a make random option, I personally can sometimes feel overwhelmed with lots of options and tend to end up making the same 2 or 3 so a make random option would be great for me.

What I would absolutely love, is to have the option where you can put your preserves in a certain storage place, any alcohol you make (wine, beer) could be put in the bar, etc etc. So basically storage options for things, beside the fridge, yet things that don't take a ton of room. Like a sauce storage object that is on the table for anyone to grab their sauce choice and put it back. That way you don't have to walk around with it in your inventory. I know other mod creators have tried to do this but all it ended up being was storage boxes that were not specified. If you had a flower box, then why is the sim family putting books and toys in it? Just a thought for the future. ♥

Dark Angel

Yogurt, flavored condensed milk and jelly 😋

I'd love anything that can make more/better use of herbs and flowers. I feel like the in-game herbalism options aren't enough. Things like flavored honeys, infused oils, more jams/jellies (like the rose jam someone mentioned earlier), tinctures, syrups, ways to use the herbs and flowers for tea, use plant milks for yogurts.

Thee 1sland Simmer

Rose petals, violets, lavender...other flowers, dulce de leche, chai spices, kelp and shell paste for mermaids, Mandrake in bottles for witch ...? Ghee tea, Lassi and maple butter are also wonderful.

melimelo

I love those ideas !

Chantal Evrard

Anything is good for me. I love that you are keeping the two separate. Please add as many ingredients also using the new harvestables and cottage stuff like cow milk and eggs etc

Bessy

Cucumber into pickles? Tub of frosting? Tub of cookie dough? Milk into cheese? Soy beans into soy sauce? Dried pasta or dried spagetti? Sardines or tinned fish? Smoked fish? Roasted nuts? Meat into jerky? Tomatoes/Veg into soups? Tinned Tuna? Grapes into rasins? Fruits into dried fruits (including those dried strawberry snack things) Fruits into those yogurt coated fruit snacks? Milk into yogurt? Fruit into compot and could be used to make cakes or be eaten with cakes? Vegetables into those vegetable crisps? Could leftover or spoiled food be turned into animal treats/feed?

Abi

Well, and Liqueur ... besides the one of your nectar maker ...

Steffi Jänsch

How about Syrup? ...

Steffi Jänsch

Dried Fruit! :D

Steffi Jänsch

Lentil soup, pea soup ... I know, there's the soup maker, but you also could do soups into conserves ...

Steffi Jänsch

i love all your ideas. they always works out great in game.

Tammy Furguson

^^

Dark Angel

All of the above and maybe things like pickled eggs, cayenne, and vegetable relishes

ZeeGoddess

hey what issues ? Not being able to plant ? Post cottage living the gardening is really bugged and it affects both EA and custom plants. But I will check

MunMun

Yogurts and flavored honey omg!!!

Aaliyah Durgan

Yogurt!

Alex

Yogurts would be amazing. Of course, what you have is already amazing!

Azuhra

Can we use harvestables such as cabbage and onion etc to make more pickles, kimchi (I know there is a spread) and sauerkraut. Yogurts and kefir, too, for pre and pro-biotics.

itsmeagain

infused honey, things like lemon preserves ( its not jam but more a marmalade), maybe an option to make our own herb butters?

Null_Void

Honestly, I would rather have the preservation station stay a separate object but maybe add the ability to do the cottage living canning items so they can also be made there? OR maybe make like a special pot that can go on the counter or stove via MOO where all the interactions can be? That was it's not the fridge but it is something smaller than the whole preservation station.

Jwingrider

also lemon curd

Unusual jams like a rose raspberry and other nut butters like pistachio but with cardamom. Also infused honeys that way we can use all of your havestables together in unique combinations

Sandra Williams

Lip gloss or beauty items for plopsy, like a honey scrub for face or lips

MegaErica

preserves that can be added to enhance a dish and preserves that are needed to cook a dish - those are good. Also, you mentioned that at some point, you will change the bottle meshes... I really prefer your present bottle and jars compared to EA's. The ones in the game are nice, too. But yours give me more of the homemade feel and I really love how they look on top of my shelves.

Puking king

SCCO is broken at the moment, it hasn't been updated yet since the patch came out. Icemunmun has her own custom objects: recipe books, pots, and pans, tablet.

Puking king

Everything you mentioned! I use your objects and items in every game I play and they add so much realism, so much fun.

Liz Ashton

The dessert bars and flavored honeys will be amazing! Actually make anything, everything you create automatically goes in my game lol!

All Things Chai ☕️ (Chelsea W)

baklava desert jar maybe

farrell schambow

lemon meringue desert jar would be yummy

farrell schambow

any flavored honey like clover honey

farrell schambow

I loveeee the flavoured honey idea!!

I had to take out Custom Food Interactions and SCCO because it got soooooooo laggy and it was taking 15 seconds or more just for the menu to pop up when I clicked on the fridge. It was basically unplayable. It's faster now, but I don't see myself going back to adding them, unfortunately. I don't know if it's possible, but I would love to see your reservations and recipes through an entirely separate object, like with Ravasheen's A-Dough-able cupcake maker overwrite. The sim uses the oven to bake the pastries and cupcakes, but instead of having the giant cupcake maker, I can just have one small icing bag. Love it! SOOO practical (and don't have to sit through the laggy fridge/oven menu!)

Chelsea

I love all these ideas but also fruit sauces, veggie dressings, like cilantro dressing, but I would love to be able to preserve meats or fish, or have like fish sauce, sardines with like minnows, mushroom sauce/cream. Also, love, I'm having issues with the chickpea plant, I don't know where else I could let you know about this. Thank you so much for your hard work, I'm so happy I'm giving you money for this, you deserve it.

Sky Quill

I actually think you should leave the Preservation Station separate from Cottage Living Canning, entirely. Not everyone is going to have that pack. It being useful for the majority of Sims players is, I think, better than not everyone being able to utilize it. I also think it's fine if it remains separate from the fridge which is, as you said, already quite crowded. Nut butters would be amazing as an addition!!

Leander

Deserts, nut butters and flavored honeys all sound great

Deonne

Preserving fish and meat even making non dairy perverse could be nice Honestly I would just love vegetarian and lactose free items using harvestable custom and ea… there is such a lacking of both restrictions in the game for it to be in the game so anything that is both lactose free and vegetarian safe!!

DeeSims

I like the idea of nut butters and flavored honey. As I am a vegan I usually play vegetarian Sims so more vegetarian friendly would be great. Things like applesauce, pear-sauce, apricot-sauce

Dorothy Fee

Pasta and pizza sauces, pie fillings, fruit butters, salsa, applesauce, vegetable/meat stock, hot sauces, salad dressing, relishes

The Sarah O.

absolutely flavoured honey!

rainbow quartz

Definitely nut butters and flavored honey.

Michelle Gibson

I love your ideas!!! please do this!!!

One Step Homestead

Hummus! Also not sure if this works but like making asian sauces? Soy sauce, dark soy sauce, mirin, oyster sauce etc lol

Florence Tham

Yea flavored honey with flowers. Gimme more reasons to grow flowers. Not sure if this would be possible but would also be cool if the EA canning could just be moved to your station and work with your skill.

Rendlog88

ooooo Yogurt would be nice. Nut butters too!

Wendy Hubble

I love the idea of flavored honeys, nut butters, and home-made baby/toddler foods. I don't know if this mod would be the correct place for it or not but lately I've been learning about Victorian Apothocary and Pharmaceutical use and creation and many of the "medicines" they used we made from herbs and oils and as I play historical sims families I'd love to be able to harvest flowers and herbs and run a little healers shop without it being linked to magic. I know Outdoor retreat has herbalism but I'd love some custom tinctures and poultices and oils and ointments. And a way to dry/preserve herbs and flowers to make teas.

Rachael Horton

And dandelion jelly too!

Oh and aloe vera jelly, that would be amazing (it's so so good)

Yogourt means milk, or maybe some recipes non-dairy? I'd like the idea of various butters : almond, peanut, cacao, hazelnut... And maybe some vegan "terrines" with lentils, chickpea, corn, with spices like cumin, curcuma, curry, ginger. I like those in real life, so...

Marshmallow fluff and maple cream.

ThatOneFiend

Ideas! Peanut butter and jelly, overnight oats, mushy peas, different pasta sauces, toddler food!!

I like the idea of yogurts and nut butters, but I especially like the idea of flavored honey. Finding more uses for the beeboxes is great!
