The cottage living canning seems to include only 16 preserves and I already have 84 types of preserves uploaded haha. I have/had big plans to expand!

I am going to add canned food, food rations, in addition to many other types of bottled and canned stuff ( yougurt, nut butter etc etc)

When the new trailer confirmed canning I just really felt like EA was ripping off your mods. My suggestion for canning is the Preservation Station! And it could be Food Preservation skill. ^^ This would also give it some space to expand into things that may not be covered in the EP (canning isn't the only kind of food preservation that exists).

i thought that too when i saw the trailer! i like preserve station or food processing station, but if you do food processing station i'd think you're going to be including things other than just fruits and veggies.

maybe for the recipes that uses sauces that you either can make 1 sauce or a dozen sauces on the canning station

At present the sims can open the jars to get plates of bread +/jam/pickle/spread/sauce. I have a few recipes which use the sauces. I plan to use the jams and spreads more when I finish the bread oven ( maybe via a toaster oven kind of appliance). Plus I have other plans for them

It would be great if the Sims would actually use the canned jars of Veggies and fruits for their meal prep. I see them just diving in for eating from the jar but not actually preparing a soup, stew or pies.

DUDE I thought the exact same thing. I know you took the coop and the cow from the Sims 3 Store in the first place, but they weren't specifically pack items were they?? And it's hardly like they've decided to anything else from the store: baby play mat and walker; lost city of amore; the carousel and rollercoaster? Why your stuff?! But really, I am glad that console players can now get your items XD

They are integrating canning into the homestyle cooking skill and most likely wont have a new appliance for it! I think I am going to add all the cottage living preserves to my canning skill and station!

I found that they are adding the canning to the homestyle cooking (and the stove most likely!) I am going to add all those new preserves to my canning station and integrate them into the skill system!

I took a look &..😲...most of the stuff I already have from u & the community, even the fox. I'm grateful that those who don't use cc can farm soon, but I feel like U laid the blueprint for them along w/TheKalino, BlueAncolia, MizoreYukii...the list goes on. Hopefully, that was a 'little' taste & there will be more?? Hmmm, new name for Canning Station? Idk, but whatever it is should be an easy or cute abbreviation. Then when u give updates, it'll be catchy enough for ppl to remember & u don't have to type 100 characters ea. time. 🤔🤔🤔

I think Food Processor is a good one for your canning station. I saw the photo of Cottage Living when I started up my game and had to laugh. I did not watch the trailer, but when I exited my game I looked it up online. I know Maxis is all about the Llama, but an Alpaca would be nice. I will wait and see what people have to say about it once it comes out. Sad thing is there will be more hair, clothing, shoes and objects that look like they came from a rummage sale. I love the things that you and other artist's make and will always use them in my games.

Yes, there is no doubt, as I have stated before that Maxis has taken a lot of your ideas. Credit where it is due. I hope that you continue on with your items because they allow more versatility. Maxis still can't get away from the constant "upper middle class" lifestyle with their offerings. Not everyone wants to play wealthy sims. I like to have more modest families as well as wealthy ones. For example their candle makers is too large and expensive for modest families trying to make a go of it. So most of the time I use yours.

A lot of the Sims 4 content seems to come from mods, but the mod authors do it better than EA.

I still love your creations and will continue. In my opinion I think you should get acknowledged for the amazing work that you do from EA games. From Your dedicated fan. You make this game unbelievably so much fun.

So as I have been watching the reaction to the upcoming pack, I envision a vineyard build! Have you ever thought about adding grapevines to your harvestables? I am not even sure it's possible. I may look for deco ones then hide the grape harvestables in it. I used to wish EA would design objects so we didn't have to use CC but now I am happy to use the cc and watch EA be inspired by it. Alot of the stuff does seem like yours, be proud you've inspired them to make the game better. Which you have been doing for years. Can't wait for this pack or to see all the cool stuff you will do with it. Preserving Centre is an idea for a name for the canning station, and if you are going to have to rework it, is it possible to have a version that is a little less modern. A sheep to shear and a milkable goat for cheese would be cool too. Whatever you do with the pack I can't wait for your mods.

Also, I know rex has a frying mod in which you can use your canning foods to garnish his fried foods.... But I think it would be super cool to use your canning food as garnishes on all your recipes as well

When I saw the trailer yesterday, the first thing I thought about was the complexity of your feelings. But you don't have to be afraid of anything! Surely those who don't use mods will enjoy the country life in this pack. But those of us who love your mods are looking forward to the new pack and your wonderful creations.

I thought of you watching the trailer. I’m happy for console players that can’t download mods and those that prefer to play with little to no mods. One day EA should let you work on a pack like they do the builders. Some official icemunmun functional objects would be a treat for everyone.

The canning station you have created is amazing. With it, we can make sauces, pickles, jams, and I think other things too? So, in that sense....Preserves Station would probably be a good name. Or you could go with something like some kind of Stove? Or perhaps just call it a Cannery. I dunno. I don't think having two things in the game with very similar names is bad or anything. But saying it makes Preserved Food is pretty accurate.

Oh I am making a cheesery/cheese making station which can be used to make cheese. I have plans to add ageing racks too! the cheese plant was just a funny thing..a part of the hybrid line of plants i made - Cheese, Tofu, Martshmallow, Chicken meat- something a scientist will grow in their lab gardens XD
