Suggestions for Mill products

What ingredients can i use to make different pantry items/products from the mill ?

I have plans for seperate -

I may think of some other appliances too to make products/ingredients from home grown objects. The above 3 are the ones I am planning/laying down the foundation now.

I have plans for various cereals too.

Right, I never use the microwave really.

Charmbird

I would think something like corn to grind down into cornflour, for cornbread. Oats for oat flour, and if not ground down to make stovetop oatmeal. Families not using a microwave- instant oatmeal isn't an option.

Mistical.ravens.sims

I was planning on doing a whole range of non dairy butters with the canning station because i wanted to have simseat the jars with bread

MunMun

Hope I'm not too late here, but nut butters would be nice and fit the mill theme. Especially if the end product could be used as peanut butter for SCCO.

Aloe vera is also juiced and used for people with stomach ulcers amongst other things. Also that general shape of plant would transition well into Agave and Cactus.

I did a lunch box here - https://icemunmun.blogspot.com/2021/01/instaplate-lunch-box.html?m=1 I will make more meshes for this!

MunMun

More variation of flour like whole wheat, cornflour... and I also have an idea that doesn't really go with Mill but you could do something like a lunchbox

I know this is an idea that doesn't really go here, but could you make some sort of aloe vera lotion or something for sunburned sims? Then, For the Mill: Sugars (Brown, Raw, White, Powder, etc), coffee, teas, herbal teas, baby foods (if they make babies playable in generations), purees of all things we can currently grow. That is all I can think of right now... :D Love ya! Keep up the wonderful & creative ideas! <3

Sesame Oil, Rice Powder, Matcha, Cocoa Powder will be nice.

Teas: If we had different tea plants we could use the mill to process them into a finished product. Fruits could be turned into custom tea bags. Milks: For apartment dwellers that don't have room for a cow, they could press almonds, soy beans, coconuts, green peas, or oats from a new oat plant into their respective milks at home using the mill.

I really want to make rustic bread oven. You can bake freash bread from the mill flour and then either sell it or eat it with some sides!

MunMun

I would love to have cans of candied fruits that would open onto dish servings. As someone above said. These kinds of simple foods are wonderful for old time stories or poorer sims that can't make or afford elaborate desserts.

ice cream!!! like peach, etc (ones from your harvestables!!)

When Makin' Magic of Sims 1 came out, the one thing that I enjoyed was baking - putting the ingredients together to bake bread (I think it was). Sims 4 has a lot of bread, but cooking it doesn't give me the same feeling back then. Your mill, in a way, brings back that joyous feeling. I hope that you can give us more simple dishes that involve the use of your mill - just like in the old-times were they often had loaves of bread for supper.

Cornmeal for sure. I would love to make grits! Spices. Tea maybe? Oil.

Jeanette Connally

Black pepper

Leisa Pate

cornmeal for grits, cornbread, and hushpuppies

Julie Clark

I love the idea of milling the City Living spices as well as the ones from your harvestables (black pepper, etc). Also adding spices such as paprika (from bell peppers), almond meal (for macarons, etc), olive oil (scco cooking oil, for example). But also yes, pasta, cheese. Oatmeal, granola, cereal would all be nice to be able to make from scratch

Karen A

cornmeal would be cool

cornmeal, sesame seed oil, red chili paste, milled pepper, and sweet potato flour.

BlackPiano

What about Chickpea Flour, Rice flour. These can be used in different recipes. I don't see in your harvestables Curry Leaves they are different to the Bay Leaves.

Coralynn Brewer

Tapioca??

farrell schambow

All those ideas sound fun

farrell schambow

what about corn meal to make corn bread and various other recipes you would need ground corn for like masa corn tortilla's etc.....

Sue Secondlife

Coffee flavors with chocolate, cinnamon etc; different herb mixtures; oils; Spices and flours; Using the insects from eco lifestyle for flour maybe or as spice? Actually it would be nice to have more recipes with insects too. Western caucasians may not be used to them but they part of everyday nutrition in a lot of cultures and since they are in game now ... Thanks for your amazing work!

Ardled

I second the spices, syrups, oils, and oats. Would be cool to have any sugars (white, brown, powdered, etc) and/or different kinds of flour (almond, wheat, etc). Would love more breads too. Yarn, jute, rope, string. An insect flour or protein powder?

Simmer

sería interesante molinillo de café pero tener el café personalizado que no tenemos plantas de café

Laura Martinez Barca

Are you going to make barley, quinoa, oats, etc. as new harvestables since you mentioned cereals? Just curious! And more breads?

phantomness

Seasonings, syrups, or oils.

Peru_queen

pasta? brown sugar, special mixes for cakes, pies, cookies, bread, cupcakes

lalaatje

Ok that is an interesting idea!

MunMun

Um... I don't know if this is what you mean but perhaps an interaction players can do with the ground where they can search the ground for seeds and grains. It would be pretty cool in a medieval save. Since seeds are often scattered everywhere when the wind blows...

Kiyoko

Oh yes I am going to do all types of milk products including Condensed milk. I think I will make packets of ground spices similar to how we buy from the store here!

MunMun

I was planning for cotton plant and cotton..but I will add this to the list too!

MunMun

I have

Kimberly H

Maybe spice (such as chilli, garlic, etc.)? I don't know if milk would be relevant since we have the cow/cowplant. Condensed milk? Qwark? I just love dairy products hahaha.

Millith

Not sure if this counts, since it's not a food product, but it'd be nice to be able to produce yarn for knitting. Like, gather hair leavings from a pet and use the yarn ball meant for cats to play with as a base for the yarn. Otherwise, yogurt and chicken feed would be nice additions.
