Just a heads up- Did a scan for broken MODS today and it says the chicken coop/no disease. It's the buff when the sims eats the egg that seems to be broken :) thought you would like to know. Love all your stuff <3

I am going to make it multi use. There is a window for collecting eggs after egg generation hence timely collection os required. But I am changing that too! No timed collection. I have added a tentative day - night cycle where you can feed and collect from 4 AM to 6 PM and the chicken will hibernate/sleep at night

Mine will only allow 1 sim to manage the coop. It also doesn't even produce eggs

I just want to say your mods are amazing. I've played with the chicken coop for a while now, and I've never had any issues. I'm wondering if it is feasible to add harvesting the chickens for meat though? Not nearly as often as the eggs of course but it could be nice to have a meat source from the farm especially if it was compatible with SCCO.

Someone else mentioned above that their sims have been putting dirty dishes inside the coop so maybe that's an issue you're having too with the green whisp!

The update will let you have non linked coops!

I would love the ability to have more than one coop. They link together at the moment. And for the eggs not to disappear if I'm gone too long/not watching closely

Little late seeing this post, but as another person mentioned, I have a similar issue with collecting golden eggs. Unlike the other player, mine don't even show up in the family inventory all the time, though. Otherwise, thank you for your amazing mods-I can honestly say I probably wouldn't play this game without your mods seeing as how the farming and related content have always been my favorite features. So thank you!

Yes Bakie helped me to add to add the chickens vfx code...i use Bakie's chickens all the time too amd ask people to ise it!. For starters I am optimizing the code so that there is np restriction on using the coop from sim to sim + timed collection and feeding But.....a fully animated version is in the works 😁

I haven't noticed any problems with it, though I have yet to use it with the latest patch. I would love to see them animated :) but I wouldn't worry much about making chickens that actually run around loose as you could always suggest people get Bakie's animated chickens (on Mod the Sims). Actually, there is one odd glitch I have noticed. If I go and interact with a cow between interacting with a chicken coop (feeding a chicken and collecting eggs), I have to re set up the chicken coop. This is very frustrating and has happened multiple times.

I’ve been getting BEs since the latest patch update. Never had any problems before that. Still interacting & collecting eggs ok though.

I will look into whether a rosster animation is doable but I really want to add a night and day cycle if its feasible. The feeding and gg collecting wont be possible at night when the chickens are sleeping!

In one of my games my chicken coop has the smelly green whisp stuff over my chicken coop. Not sure if thats intentional or not, but thought I'd mention it in case it was a bug, as my sims can't seem to be able to clean it or do anythin go make it go away. But like I said, that may be intentional and I've just missed in the description that it's meant to do that! Also, question, what does a sim do with the eggs once they're in their inventory? I can't seem to do anything with them other than "place in world" and they also can't be put in the fridge. Are they just in your sim inventory for when they cook and egg dish? Thanks! :)

I love the chicken coop and I have no issues. As for free roaming chickens, Bakie over at MTS has made some from cloning the birds. They are perfect to go with your coop.

I noticed that the golden eggs, when you open the egg carton, goes into the household inventory instead of the sims inventory. I remember a while ago they went into the sims inventory.

That sounds rally fun, thought I have similar issues where different characters have to set up the same coop, and sometimes my sims just decide to place dirty dishes inside the coop.

I noticed after awhile, I have to keep setting up the coop even though I feed them and interact. I also can't put the carton of eggs into the fridge. I don't know if we're able to have multiple coops, but I tried that and if I, for instance, feed one coop, the option to feed the other ones doesn't pop up. Hope this input helps.

A day and night cycle would be awesome, maybe a run included with the coop? and an animation seeing a chicken roost?

I don't have any issue with it at but it would definitely be helpful if one coop could be for the whole household rather than them all having to set it up individually. I also never use the Easter Eggs option so could do without it but just speaking for myself :)

One sim couldnt immediately go and tend to another coop. They could tend after some time!

I just noticed this wording: "3. One sim can tend to more than one coop." I have 3 coops and I only have one Sim that tends to the 3 coops. She can click on each one and get all the interactions. She collects eggs from all 3. Is this not the norm for the coop?

I use Bakie animated chickens in front of my 3 coops. It works great!!! And I have about 15 chickens roaming. With the new Cows I cant get enough of playing my farmer Sim. I also use the canning station as well. I now sell eggs milk and jams and spreads. Also use bee box to sell and collect honey and grow veggies and fruits. Its crazy how the Cows made such a huge difference in my game play. I cant get enough of my farm that I have on a 50x50 lot!!! By the way its never bothered me the one Sim per coop. My farmer Sim gets all the eggs each day so I never really noticed it to be an issue.

I will add some moving chicken in front of the coop! I will try and add a feeding option to the moving chicken. you click on the coop and the sim comes and pours yhe feed on the ground where the chicken are moving around

So far, I have not experienced anything bad or negative with your chicken coop. What I feel it's missing though is some animation coming from the chicks and the chickens. So, I think that for now, the updates you mentioned are more than great already. As for the access to the coop - one person at a time was not really good for me. I have also been wanting to have a chicken or two walking around or moving around a bit (like the dairy cows) and maybe, we could feed them by throwing feeds at them like on a real farm. I figured that you would be the best creator for something like that.

Oh I think the chicken dies/vanishes but I will change the frequency of required feeds

I notice that if I don't feed the chickens for 16 hours or so, then I have to set up the coop again. I realize that this may be because I have to remember to feed my chickens regularly but my sims have a busy schedule and it does add up.

I have a play with chick interaction. I will see if i can find some other way too. Maybe have a more robust birth-death cycle with occ chicks being born 🤔

The set up coop is part of the code I want to optimize! Hopefully after that these random glitches wont occur. Since it is sim buff based anything which refreshed or removed or reset biffs on sims ( in the background even) will affect the interactions. I am going to use a better method. Diseases - Do you want the flu to occur at a lesser frequency ? Do you want your sim to get simonella ? Fot that you have to eat a few bad eggs XD.

When I play, there's a certain time when "Set up coop" comes up along with the rest of the interactions, and the first few times this happened, after a certain amount of time, I got "Set up coop" twice and "View", after setting up coop for $15, I get "Buy chicken" twice and after that, no interaction besides "View" and "Put in inventory" until I come back to the household, not necessarily by restarting the game, but just leaving to another lot and coming back. Other than that, the disease is really annoying but, like, I love it, and I've never gotten salmonella from it. Also, you are amazing, I have so much admiration for you, please keep making Sims stuffs, you're the best, thank you so much.

I love the coop! I'd like to see some baby chickens, possibly lol. Perhaps they can be incorporated in some way.
