surely the numbers are speaking, i know everyone in my friend circle (including me!) got bored with the lack of variety, and for me the feeling there wasn't much there for me if i kept training made us move to guilty gear, which we have a blast with! i really do want SFV to succeed after all it's still got bits of pretty great in there

2017-05-30 09:45:22 +0000 UTCIf they want to reboot while still keeping an element of their promise of no new versions, just have a patch that adds no new characters, heavily reworks some existing characters, and maybe adopt a KI style pay model. Brand this as Super Street Fighter V, clearly explain that everyone who already owns V will get this for free and put out new physical copies of the PS4 version with all the Season 1 and 2 characters already on the disc. They might be going back on their word, but look at the success that Evolve had when it went to Stage 2, or FFXIV had when it changed to A Realm Reborn (yes they're technically 2 different games but ignore that part). A new name can separate a fantastic game from an inferior prior version, and I think Capcom could benefit greatly from it. (Also on the issue of the devs getting the feedback from pros, I would hope that Capcom USA is aware of the issues that pros are having and could communicate to the team back in Japan, but that's just a hope)
