The personal craft flown by Spike is call the Swordfish II, a modified MONO Racer which was modified to include some armaments.

Yoko Kanno is an amazing composer/music producer. If some day you ever end up looking for another Anime series to pursue and have a hankering for cerebral near future proto cyber punk that also wound up echoing through many many movies and shows check out Ghost in the Shell, particularly the Standalone Complex and 2nd gig series. The movies were also very good for introductions. Anyway, Cowboy Bebop is great ride, looking forward to watching along.
