Great episode with excellent animation, arguably the best in SC so far. Hand drawn animation will always be my favourite, even if modern anime can do so much more with the tech available.

I think you'll really like the transition between this "season" and next. Are you planning to watch Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles when you're done the series? It's a movie from 2007 that overlaps and continues from the final episode.
