Glad you like this story. Unfortunately its also the last time we get to have Vincent McEveety directing. Though he does show up to work with William Shatner on 3 episodes of T.J. Hooker. Another interesting note is that Leonard Nimoy directed an episode of T.J. Hooker as well. Looking forward to seeing your reaction for the next two episodes.

2025-01-02 22:14:00 +0000 UTCI have to admit, the first time I saw this episode, so many decades ago. I wasn't too impressed. I always thought the story was interesting so I was confused why I didn't like this episode until later in life. Only thing I could figure was I was heading into my rebellious age, and I was so burned out of westerns shows and movies because my father was hooked on Western settings. By the time I was 16, I had seen every Clint Eastwood and John Wayne movies at least 3 times, not to mention classics made during the 50's & 60's and was by this time developing my taste for SCI-FI. During the 70's my older brother and I watched and will always regret the lost time of our lives watching "Laser Blast" (1978). Never thought I would ever see anything worse then "The Giant Spider Invasion", but I was proved wrong with "Laser Blast". LOL

2025-01-02 00:08:51 +0000 UTCA few things: First of all, those actors were so menacing and in a way unreal that when I was a child, they scared the hell out of me. I dreaded seeing them whenever this episode was on and yet I had to watch, lol. Did you notice the Earps hardly blinked? They were almost mechanical, like following a program. FYI, the harmonica music you were hearing was done by champion harmonica player Tommy Morgan, who was a friend of my father's who was also a musician for TV & Movies as well. In fact, I actually called him up and confirmed that he did play for this episode, it was awesome to find that out and we had a nice, but brief chat.
