Just catching up on this series. You were wondering who Dr. Will Magnus was. In the comics he created the Metal Men. This episode implies at least some of his success in creating them came from studying G.I. Robot The chimera guy in the cell is Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man, who is an enemy of the Doom Patrol. The centipede guy next to him is a Wonder Woman villain named Crimson Centipede.
