Arcane 2x7 - 'Pretend Like Its the First Time' TIMESTAMP / FULL LENGTH Reaction & Review

What could have been...

(NOTE: Took Griffen's suggestion and added blurred video and 30 seconds of footage every 10 minutes. Let me know how it works, Legends!)

Arcane 2x7 - 'Pretend Like Its the First Time' TIMESTAMP / FULL LENGTH Reaction & Review

"Im getting cold feet" I know how you feel, I put off watching Act 3 for a few days after it came out because I wasn't ready to be emotionally destroyed like I knew I would be lol. The show : Gives us a happy timeline Me: Spends the whole ep crying cuz I know Ekko will have to leave You mentioned Sevika and yes she is in the good timeline, Im pretty sure we see her from behind on the dance floor (and she has both her arms).

The whole dichotomy of Jinx/Powder is such a powerful expression of "possibility", a theme repeatedly explored in this series. Chaos theory in visual-aural poetry, a butterfly flaps its wings, and Typhoons result.

One more nice detail I didn't notice myself but had to share. At the beginning of the episode when Powder says her "Genius and Madness" line, she makes a little bunny sign against Ekko's forehead. We see this two other times in the series, both specifically in relation to Powder and not Jinx. Once is during the bridge fight where we see Powder do it in the play version of the fight. The other is in Vander's memories. Powder's mother takes off her helmet to put on Powder's head, then quickly does the bunny sign against her forehead, probably to make her daughter smile.

I cannot agree more, this is a true masterpiece. Truly an s-tier effort by everyone who had hands in creating it. After the heart rending sacrifice of Isha, this episode managed to land the softest gut punch, with such tenderness. Ekko, in a series of truly epic tragedy, and his willingness to give it up love in paradise to try to change save his world, his home. Jinx is still a force of Chaos, with Hextech in her possession.

Amazing info and fantastic thoughts, my friend! I did catch the record in editing :) AND TimeBomb is the greatest. Appreciate you!

A few thoughts: 1) Not sure if you noticed while editing, but the record that plays in the beginning had Ekko and Powder instead of Vi and Jinx. 2) It says something about Ekko that he never seriously considered staying in paradise while he had people who need him back home. 3) I assume Jayce either died in the explosion that killed Vi or ended up being banished because the explosion in his apartment killed a kid. In any case, Jayce and Viktor never got a chance to work together to create hextech. 4) I am so glad we got an episode exploring Ekko and Powder. The bridge fight implied a lot about their relationship, but they never shared much screen time until now. 5) I think the importance of this episode to the overall narrative is going to be Ekko being able to forgive Jinx. One of the themes of Arcane is how destructive holding on to anger and hatred can be, and how important the ability to forgive is. 6) I feel this is safe to bring up now. I don't play League of Legends, but I know that Ekko's special power is to rewind time a few seconds. In the game, this is represented by having an "echo" trail behind him that he can snap back to, allowing a player who gets in a sticky situation to get out of it. 7) I also know there are a lot of Ekko/Jinx shippers in the League of Legends community. I'm mostly bringing this up because the ship name for Ekko/Jinx is "Timebomb", which is the best ship name I have ever heard.
