2024-08-02 01:01:48 +0000 UTCJust a random story/comment. Back in the early 90's when I was going to UW- Madison, I had a group of friends that met every Thursday night to play "Drink Trek". OG Star Trek came on at 10pm. We had a Kegerator and Lienenkugel Red on tap. The rules were simple and vicious. You could call a drink for anything that happened. For instance, "Drink for blinking lights" or "Drink for Spock saying Illogical". BUT the drink rules could only be called once and that rule NEVER went away. You could only call it for the episode. If you tried to call a rule that had been already stated you had to drink double yourself. It was not meant to be a fair rule. It was not really that fun for new people unless they just wanted to get wasted (which was pretty much assured anyways...) We did this for approximately three years, and while my memories of actually doing this are fogs of drunken nostalgia now, it was just awesome fun at the time.
