Going to start book one as soon as I finish Episode 5 of Season 2. I'm told I'll be safe from spoilers that way. Thank you for the kind words and support, my friend!

And please do fall in love with Naomi, its perfectly OK. There are no perfect characters in The Expanse (good or bad!) Everyone has a particular motivation that they believe in as humans tend to do which makes it SO realistic! Although I love all of The Expanse, I particularly love Season 2 as I think this is where I truly fell in love with the show as a separate entity from the books. (I have read them all as have many of us here).

2024-03-15 01:30:48 +0000 UTCDo not judge Earth so harsh yet, you already know things are rarely what they seems, at least here. As for slowness of the first season, it really seems slow in comparison, but I think main thing for such conclussion is what you have said earlier. First season is densly packed with information and setting the things into motion. Seasons 2 and 3 are building on those stuffs and so they can move forward faster. As for Protomolecule, exploring its background will be interesting similar to what you will learn about main and minor characters, settings and all things (especially Amos' past). Can't wait for you to get your answers. Thank you again for another yet fantastic journey together in another great episode and looking forward for next week :-)

Just so you don't get confused "Gunny" is Gunnery Sergeant Roberta "Bobbie" Draper. You seemed to have gotten her name figured out, but other reactors seem to have gotten confused when different people refer to her by diffeerent combinations of her rank and name. As far as Phoebe is concerned, scientists today hypothesize that it came from outside the solar system (or at least from the Kuiper belt) since it orbits in a direct opposite the spin of Saturn. As I and others have said before, hang on. Things are startint o speed up, and you. too, will think S1 was a little "slow." 😀

2024-03-14 18:04:37 +0000 UTCRe the protomolecule: It was found on Phoebe, and Phoebe itself is an extra-solar object caught in Saturn's gravity. Draper is a fantastic character, I can't wait for you to see her story unfold. And yeah, the Nathan Hale was the one on its way to Tycho. She definitely shows the extreme militant nature of the Martian Marines. What I also like is how both Sutton (the LT) and Yao were so level headed. It shows the difference in the mindset of the two generations; those that fought the last war and the ones gearing up to fight the next.
