The old RPG from the 90's had the greatest table ever in a game: The Techno-babble chart. 3 D20's to get a Prefix, a Root Word and a Suffix so you could say what rando piece of future tech is messing up. The Warp-Plasma-Manifold or whatever. Epic. And don't get me started on the Starfleet Command games (2 with the Orion Pirate expansion being the best) or Birth of the Federation, if you love a game that'll melt a hard drive from the late 90's. Also, you mentioned comics. I cannot recommend the Lower Decks comic highly enough. It's in the art style of the show, it's 3 issues and it's a blast. Plus the 2nd contact that happens in it is a great idea, just a lil complex for an episode. And the IDW Star trek series also rules. And not just because Shaxs is in it (back when he was a Lt Junior Grade). But they explicitly play a D&D game in there so if you wanna see Data DMing Dr Crusher (Barbarian), Shaxs (Rogue... somehow), Scotty (Warlock) and Sisko (Cleric), there's your book. (Plus Shaxs gets a one shot that makes you realize how much he's holding back on the show) Tendi was a lil under-used but this is definitely a season that uses her best. She consistently rules and gets LOTS to do. And I believe the comman usage has officially declared the phrase to be officially called "The Bing Bong Moment". Just as "Mary Sue" has been replaced (due to the sexism usually associated with folks who go on and on about them) with "They're a Poochie".
