Like Riddick says in the movie 'Chronicles of Riddick': "It's gonna be one speed. Mine." So I wouldn't worry about that. I will say that keeping the progress slow has been a challenge, because I really like to write fight scenes :)

2022-03-29 22:51:52 +0000 UTCI very much would like to see some chain-based magic in the near future. Perhaps at least one chain-based decapitation. The fact that I whole-heartedly, unrestrainedly, unashamedly SIMP for Medusa from Fate, who also uses chain-based maneuvers, may be related. I think this fic has reached a bit of a razors edge. You get to walk the fine line between powerful, meaningful growth brought about by hard work and intelligence and the abyss of power-gaming bullshit that's ruined many great fictions of the past by rapidly turning the main character into a useless Mary Sue trope. That said, I enjoy this fic. A lot. Please, please, please proceed carefully. Don't feel like you need to rush a chapter, sacrificing quality, in order to meet imagined deadlines. I'd much rather wait a month for a single good chapter than a week for 3 shitty ones. Good luck! I look forward to seeing what comes next.
