You've read my mind! I fully agree with everything you said about authors playing matchmaker. Always rubbed me the wrong way, too. Clarke does indeed crave more mature relationships, which is why he's been befriending older folks wherever he can, whether it's Hagrid or a reporter. I'm so happy you've been enjoying the story. Hope to keep you on the edge of your seat!

2022-01-07 00:36:56 +0000 UTCJust read the chapter and I have to say it's amazing that you talk about the conflict of morals and hormones with the main character. So many authors just ignore the fact or simply play matchmaker with the MC and some teen, which is frankly disturbing in many ways. Anyways do keep up with the story you set up, I'm loving it, especially since it has been showing in his mentality that he is an adult in the body of a child. Not only romantically, but also the discipline, and his ease in certain parts of magic that other simply lack due to them being children. Maybe you should try and include how the MC craves more mature relationships, even friends. Especially now that the children are entering puberty and are emotional messes, getting in conflicts for everything, extremely self conscious, and are starting to get interested in other people romantically. You could try and emphasise the moral dilemma of the MC when his classmates will start seeing him and start actually having crushes with him, I can only imagine with him being the unreachable goal of academical and magical excellence they want to be, always composed and so mature.
