Uematsu most certainly composed the original theme this particular track is based off of (Wrath of the Eikons), this particular arrangement seems to have been done by Takafumi Imamura. I can't say 100% for sure though as I don't have the album directly in front of me to confirm but according to vmdb this is the case, https://vgmdb.net/album/112508 . Most people do assume that Soken is the sole composer/arranger, but really many of the arrangements and remixes we hear are actually from other composers.

And as of like, November 2016 there were 384 original tracks! They won a Guinness World Record for the largest original soundtrack in a game that year.

2022-01-26 15:45:02 +0000 UTCPretty sure this one was a Nobuo Uematsu composition. He did a lot of the base game music, whereas Soken's been involved in most of the stuff afterward. Nobuo still pops up in the soundtrack in later expansions though. He's a legend, you can't have a FF soundtrack without him.
