Early Access!! FF7 AC / Rebirth - One Winged Angel

This song is honestly probably one of the biggest reasons why (IN MY OPINION) people think FF7 is the best final fantasy. Don't blame em either, this track is a banger in almost any genre.

I think the one wing is in place of his arm, not coming out of his shoulder, unless this is like concept art that I am not aware of. I was fairly sure the black shoulder wing originated in the first Kingdom Hearts game, no?

Interesting bit of trivia: the original FF7's final fight with Sephiroth depicted him with one black wing over his right shoulder, just like in the remake, but also with six white wings laid out symmetrically. I believe the Japanese name of the song translates literally to "Angel With Wings On One Side," but the English translation of "One-Winged Angel" really stuck, as did the single black wing that we eventually saw in the video of the remake you just watched.

So, one of my requests is the original PS1 One Winged Angel (should've guessed someone else would requeste it) so I don't know how much you'll get out of it after listening to the AC and Remake versions but I guess I'll stand by it. You can maybe comment on what they were able to do with the limitations of the time (I think it's still super impressive). I am so glad you enjoyed it, one of my top songs of all time. As an aside, I'd love to see a let's play and I'm sure plenty of people would as well. Fair warning, the remake only covers around 1/5 (being generous) of the og story and (much to my dismay) is making some "bold' (to be courteous) narrative decisions. Very long story and it seems I'm in the minority, when really disliking these decisions, suffice to say I love most of remake but the part that is "wrong" really fucks everything up for me. Anyway still looking forward to "Dancing Mad" and "Tomorrow and Tomorrow", my other requests.
