New Years! Moonlit Wilderness behind the scenes
Added 2019-01-01 01:14:39 +0000 UTCHappy New Year! It's still 2018 (ugh) in California, but we're closing it off with the making of my new video for Moonlit Wilderness.
To begin, Tekken 5 OST is my favorite of them all and it's safe to say MLW is my favorite song in the series. I have actually done this piece once before as part of my "Strings of Iron Fist Medley" here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ic5haT4RHTE
I always felt it was too fast and too much going on, so I redid it the way I originally wanted it to sound, classical and more elegant. This was actually going to be used for a video by "That Blasted Salami" in the Yoshimitsu tutorial video, but was ultimately scrapped.
As far as the performance of the song itself, it was actually just two takes, a miracle. (Shown in picture.)
But one difference in this as opposed to the old recording is this song was tuned down a half step, or Eb standard (Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb) for a slightly darker tone.
Enclosed are just the two tracks; lead and rhythm.
No effects were used outside of reverb.
