OTP December Preview #1

Hard to believe we're nearing the end of 2024 already. Where does the time go?
A good amount of work got done for Chapter 09 the past couple of weeks. I'm almost done with scene setup for playable day 2. I have a number of scenes to go as well as a couple of animations but getting close. Rendering has slowed down a bit as I'm rendering PD2 scenes which includes a number of renders in the church which always take a long time. Still made some good progress on rendering getting over the half-way mark now. Also was able to render another animation and get that put together. So, overall, I'm pretty happy with the progress so far.

I don't have a set number of chapters for the game yet as I'm still writing some of the LI progression parts. But if I had to guess, I would estimate somewhere around 20 chapters or so. But don't hold me to that, it's just an estimate at this point.

2024-12-01 06:20:29 +0000 UTCI guess that depends on what you consider long vs short. For context, I can tell you currently, Chapter 09 is just shy of where Chapter 07 was in total number of static renders. That may change by the way as I always add renders to a chapter after writing it. Chapter 09 also has far more animations that Chapter 07. In relation to the most recent release, Chapter 08, it's close to half that size. Which still makes it, as of right now, the 3rd largest chapter of the game. At least in relation to renders. So, still going to be a decent size chapter, but not a Chapter 08 size chapter.
