Hey guys. I just got a question about this and I prefer clear communication about things, so here we go:
The next F:NM page is being worked on. I know I've missed the deadline on it, and I'm not particularly happy with myself about that (and want to try and remedy that by doing two pages this month instead of one).
Things have been going on keeping me away from my computer (for instance, a convention my best friend and I had been planning to go to since the beginning of the year), but that's just poor planning on my part. The bigger reason why I've been slow on it is because I'm not massively thrilled about the page and how it's coming out, so I've been stalling on working on it because of it.
I'm trying to mimic the style of Fallout's opening sequences, since it seems the most befitting way to go about it. It informs the reader of the state of the world and gets people into the right mindset. The problem is in a comic format is it's kind of... iffy? It's mainly scenery and huge blocks of text that take up most of the page space, which is mainly what's making me unhappy with the page. Part of me worries that reading it will be as unfun as making it, and I don't want to let people down like that.
I know I just need to get through it and that once these ... I think two pages by how I've had it written out... are done, that the fun stuff with characters can begin.
I'm still trying to learn and get a handle on this 'webcomic' thing. Writing and drawing off something you're making yourself is a lot harder than working off a script someone else has made. Having drawn from other people's scripts, I can say it's significantly easier when someone else has already thought up how things are going to go. Having to figure out everything yourself makes things harder, especially when you're worried if you're showing your information the best way and how to lead a reader.
So I apologize for the delay on things, and I hope that the page is going to turn out alright.
I'd also like to remind everyone here if you ever want to talk about things, or mention what kind of things you like to see, or stuff like that, I really want to hear from you. I want to make you guys happy and knowing how to do that makes me happy. It's why I've been offering the benefits for Patreon supporters on streams and stuff.
Thank you for your support, guys.
