Martini Glass
Added 2022-08-06 01:35:15 +0000 UTCA few early martini glass photos I pulled from my archives. This particular glass now resides in Las Vegas at the Burlesque Hall of Fame.
Another amusing fun fact, I also have a duplicate of this glass, which was made for the film Charlie’s Angels 2, Full Throttle. I won it, along with a lump sum of money, back when the film was released because they imitated my act, which is protected by various copyrights and trademarks. I’ve had the choreography protected by trademark on behalf of me and Catherine D’Lish since 2002.
I kept the movie from coming out for a couple weeks! The backstory is that I had been paid $50 a night to perform my glass act as part of the pussycat dolls show, and the founder choreographed a scene for that film and just decided to nick my act for it. Another little known fact is that I was also on the set of that film, and I appeared in the background in Demi Moore’s villain’s lair. That’s how I found out they had imitated me a few days before, one of the hair and make up people couldn’t figure out where she remembered me and then she let it slip that they had pictures and videos of me on set, analyzing my act for the scene. I marched straight up to the director and gave him a piece of my mind, left the set, and of course in all of the legal matters, my part hit the cutting room floor, naturally. I was represented by a very famous IP attorney who represented the estates of Fred Astaire and other celebrities who were imitated for commercials or films against their wishes. It was all a very interesting learning process, and exciting to actually prevail against evil!! 😂
