I wanted to draw a picture this week of the two of them together, but I had no idea how I wanted it to look or the concept behind the picture. It all came about during the sketching process.
Originally, I had her wearing a different outfit, but after a day or so I wasn't feeling it, so I tried something different and went with the design you see here. Princess Peach was a bit of inspiration, at least for the waist/hip portion of the gown.
Black was the color scheme, and I felt it was a simple yet appropriate title, so I went with that.
Also, while coloring this piece, I really notice the contrast in the color scheme between the two. He, being the dark and mysterious figure in her life, and she being the unexpected source of illumination in his.
