Textures restoration art

Textures restoration has been my dream since I worked on restoring old photos, retouching faces for magazines, restoring low res textures to HD for games, etc.

In restoring severe textures we can't just rescale and hope to get new details. Even if you change 512 to 16k, if you don't fix the damage to the textures manually, add new details, fix broken pixels, etc... you won't give the right result other than just wasting HDD space because the damaged textures are now bigger in size.

To fix textures like this, you need the service of someone who loves this profession or has a hobby in this field.

You can't pray to angels at night, and hope the textures will be HD in the morning. There must be someone who is willing to do it.

The problem is making textures is very time consuming. You can sit for hours or even days restoring the details needed for your textures. Surely no one wants to work for hours and days just for a thank you. In RL, you don't want to be told to work overtime without any extra, right? That's why this patreon was created based on requests from many users years ago.

I hope to only be able to present better results in the future.

Because no matter how many armor mods you install, if the quality of the textures is low res, it will not provide a significant sense of pleasure. While many armor mods are ignored because the textures are too bad.

In fact, many armors from our favorite games have beautiful designs, both from the game itself and ported from other games. It would be ironic if hundreds of armors in your game were of ps2 quality ( but you love the design so much ) considering your hardware is already RT.

Of course, all of this also has its limits. Because since the beginning, fixing it is much harder than remaking everything. All I can do is make the best possible results and push the results to their limits.

Hopefully in the future, users can increasingly enjoy high-quality armor or mods in terms of visuals, also considering that in 2025, games are getting prettier and we don't want our favorite games not to be updated.
